desertraider et. al,

The playoffs may have, indeed, hypothetically begun.  However, as long as both teams play fairly well today, this will be the first playoff in which I can recall a team getting a mulligan.  The loser of today's game still makes the field and the winner amasses huge momentum...

Wow, there's a "blast from the past"!  We haven't heard nor seen u for quite a while.  Welcome back friend!  Hope you are doing well.  I see you are still down AA way.  Are you still coaching?  Best wishes to your team(s) today! :)

Sadly I'm not, my brother got there early and has said it's shaping up as one of best Gameday crowds in a long time, campus has a palpable buzz, hope everyone has a great time and gets to and from safely. Best of luck to both teams, hope there is some juice left in both tanks for next week, I like Mount by 7 with a hard fought bloody nose of a ball game

30 minutes to kick-off!! Are you ready for some football?? My keys for the game - for Mount (JCU, figure them out for yourself ;D).
1. Run it. Keep the clock running. Run early and often.
2. Limit penalties - nothing stupid! JCU is going to be talking all game long.
3. No turnovers. Gotta hold onto the ball and not give JC more opportunities.
4. Mount D: Pressure! Have not seen Myers throw on run, or be rattled yet. If he can set his feet and eat a snack - it will be a long day.
5. DBs - keep your head on a swivel. Can't play the WR and not get the head around to see the ball.
6. Can't give up big plays. Stop the long ball, make them throw short - and then light em' up.

Safe travels to all - and as always: Roll Raiders ~ Roll!!

TD Mount! Nice initial drive. Let's keep it going!

The radio announcers just said that the refs are so favorable with their spots that it looks like the teams get an extra yard each play. Sounds like all of the comments about the low quality of OAC refs will continue.

Whoever commented this week that the Raiders didnt seem like they were all in this year must be loving the level of effort today. I cant wait to see replay of some of these reaching catches and Kevin's  reach-over td just now. First serious  Mount-looking play I've seen this season. 21-10 with 1:24 to go in the half.

MUC80

Speaking of can't wait to see replays - I'm looking forward to see the rebroadcast tonight to see the 34 yard TD pass just now to Gainer from Burke. It sounded spectacular on the radio! 28-10 Mount. JCU has to be shocked that they've given up so many points in just one half.

Kehresma

Young guys are growing up. 28-10  ;D

bushman

Arth claiming poor clock management, a bunch of unruly Jesuits just before half.  Vk needs to adjust at half as JC seems to be blitzing every other play.

QuoteThe OAC continues to offer no real challenge for Mount.

Nothing new under the sun.

Announcers doing great job pretending it's interesting though.

Looking like the Heidelberg game at this point. UMU dominates the first half, lets the team come back in. I fully expect UMU to put a good drive together to put it away but they can't let up.
