Anyone have a report on on what a Fisher fan can expect from JCU? They look to be the real deal on paper. So happy Fisher gets a chance to play JCU in the NCAA.

See my post on the E-8 page.

sfjcards, I sent you email with my opinions/scouting report on John Carroll, however, HS Coach is the expert.

Mr. Coleman,

Would it be possible to have a printable bracket that you don't need a microscope to read...please. Thank you!

You know you can magnify the bracket on the main site? Not that hard, it can be nice and big!  :P

So, if I understand this right, both John Carroll and Whitewater are on the other half of the bracket from Mount Union?

Cool!

So is 'The Cru.

Interesting bracket.  The days of region pairings are definitely long gone.

Bethel bracket seems to be the most balanced with Bethel, NCC, Platteville and Ill Wesleyan all being quality teams.   Not sure who to predict coming out of here.   Bethel has had the most impressive season, but NCC is no slouch and is playoff tested too.

Whitewater bracket has the toughest #2 in Linfield, but absolutely nothing else.   Outside of those two, that bracket is WEAK and neither of them should brake a sweat getting to the regional final.

MHB bracket has 3 other good teams (Hobart, JCU and SJF) in it, but all 3 are on the opposite side from MHB.   I could easily see any of those 3 traveling to Belton in the regional final, but none of them beating MHB.

Mount's bracket could be entertaining in nothing else.   Wittenberg is Round 2 steam rolled the NCAC after the season opening loss against D1-AA Butler and gives us a chance to welcome back our dear friends from Springfield.   Johns Hopkins is the 2nd seed, but the NCAC didn't do them any favors with Wesley in Round 1.   J Hopkins was a very young team when they came to Mount last year and got blown off the field.   Does that experience help them get back to a regional final?  I think winner of JHU/Wesley comes to Alliance in Round 3.

JHU certainly has a tough opening round draw. They've been the class of their conference the last three seasons, each time meeting a tough or respectable foe  in the NCAA (MUC, SJF, and W&J) - maybe experience is on their side this go around.

Do not overlook Ithaca. Storied program, and IC is the champ of a solid conference in the E8.

Mr. Ypsi

Um, HScoach, the UWW/Linfield bracket also contains Franklin.  Did the Bluffton upset make you forget your first game of the season?! ;D

I am excited to see SJF back in the dance -- also with a very tough Draw in Round 1 in JCU.  Common opponent in Otterbein both had the same result 28-0 win. It'll be an exciting week. . . . Maybe not the most productive though at work as a result!

Good Luck JCU/OAC.

No.   I remember that game vividly.   What I remember is a senior laden Franklin team taking advantage of a very young Mount team's mistakes to make a big comeback.   Mount in week 11 is much better than they were in week 1.   Is Franklin better?    Bluffton makes me think not.

Wouldn't say UWW's bracket is "weak"  - Franklin is in that bracket, and Franklin had MUC on the ropes.  MUC playing the PAC champ isn't exactly a marquee match up.

Former Mount Union star wide receiver Mike Sirianni returns to Alliance Saturday as coach of Washington and Jefferson.  The two teams have a fair amount of familiarity in that they last meet in a scrimmage  back in August.

Mike played on Mount's first championship in 1993 and was a coaching assistance for Mount Union in 1996 & 1997.  LK help Mike get a coaching job at Washington and Jefferson which later led to Mike being promoted to head coach.

W&J had a 4-0 record against Mount Union when they meet in the first round of the 2009 playoffs where Mount Union was up 41-0 on way to a 55-0 win.

Apparently SOME JCU fans have decided to take the 'classy' title from Philly fans. Had a bunch of students talking about JCU fans f'bombing them walking across campus after game, throwing "stuff" at King Hall and other buildings, and even f'bombing them at Chipolte after the game. I know this will of course invite every tale of a bad Mount fan, however - f'bombing (literally quoted as "F@#! you! Mount Sucks! F@#! Mount Union!) 3 girls and their Mom at a restaurant after the game? Knocking stuff over and throwing things at campus buildings? Stay classy JC, stay classy.

Draw looks good for Mount. W&J...well I feel bad that a Mount alum (Sirianni) will have his playoffs end so quickly. However, round 2 with Witt (assuming they take care of business as expected) should be interesting. Down the road the Wesley game looks intriguing. However, the semis should not be a problem.

JCU has a tough road but I don't see them coming out of the bracket. Good team but UWW is going to win that bracket.
