At what point did we fail to recognize this is a football game? The operative word being "game". I don't mind banter - banter all day long - but when it becomes personal its no longer fun. Let's face it - Mount has had a few players with issues over the years. Granted....no convictions but I digress.

If Mount wins - and yes I said "if" because this one is not a lock - then Mount will move on as they have done in the past to face whomever. If NCC wins then they will do the same. It won't mean that "Mount sucks" or that "Mount had not faced a team like NCC" (had to get that one in). It will mean that on that day, that team was better.

As far as UWW is concerned - I would be way more concerned about UMHB than what one Mount fan thinks of Wisconsinites. 99% of Mount fans have nothing but respect for UWWs program. And UWW can't claim to not have respect for Mount because they copied everything to the point that Jorris could not even tell which team he was throwing the ball to (2005). I still say he forgot Mount was wearing white. Regardless - the respect is their and it is mutual. And why does UWW have this respect for Mount? Because the first 3 or 4 times they played Mount - UWW pissed down their legs! However, this is not a personal attack.

everyday in practice.  I wouldn't take comfort in your teams playing style.  Mount has been running the "Oregon offense" better than NCC for years.

If NCC gets down early, it will be over.  Mount will run the clock down with Burke and BJ.   I know we all think that Mount's defense is the worst D of all time, but I'll put my faith in VK as DC.  Taking the 6" on snow into account, Mount beats NCC 42-21.

I will leave the Mount vs UWW conversation until the offseason b/c I dont want to disrespect the '14 Stagg Bowl opponent UMHB

Did Mount lose?  Its been a while since they have, maybe I missed it.  Was it 31-0 against a scrubby team from Buffalo?

I think Mount wins something like 38-28.  The fact that NCC is very balanced with a very efficient QB does give me heartburn.  The fact that we have Burke relieves most of it.

Also, after last week I'm guessing the focus by VK, his assts and the players on D was at an all-time high.  There's no way that the Wesley performance didn't burn them up this week.  Much like some people said the W&J sleepwalk was a good thing to refocus them for Witt perhaps the Wesley disaster was a good thing to refocus them for NCC.

Well, instead of watching the game tomorrow, I'm going to listen to it via internet as I've done all season.  I'm heading to Belton to catch the other semifinal.  I've worn the hated colors of another team when they've been the visitors, but at least then there's always another fan nearby.  Tomorrow I'm walking into two fan bases who aren't huge fans of The Raiders.  Maybe they'll be so keyed up on each other they won't notice.  At least my color choice will help me blend in.

Good seeing all the usual suspects tonight.  Sorry none of the NCC faithful could make it.  My guess is the parents/rabid fans got into town earlier in the day, and were hunkered down for the night.  Those that had to work today probably didn't want to risk the trip with the weather forecast. 

I had a chance to talk to Michael Reghi, who is doing the game for ESPN 3 tomorrow.  I have been a fan of his announcing abilities for a while, so it was good to get a chance to shoot the breeze for a few minutes.  He was very complimentary of NCC, and expects a hard-fought game tomorrow.

After a few reports from some Mount insiders, I am feeling better about Mount's chances tomorrow.

Enjoy the game mount guys.  the snow changes things some in my mind.  I was thinking NCC was going to win with no weather issues, but now, if the forecast is correct and snow covers the field I think Mount wins because NCC will be forced to run the ball more than they would like and that plays into Mount's strength.  If NCC is able to throw in the snow they have a good chance to win this one.  If not Mount wins.  Good luck to both teams.

Looks like two exciting games today. Congratulations to all four teams for earning entry to the semis. No scheduling gimmes here. Four of the best in 2013. Could easily have been Wesley at this level as well. We've seen some sweet passing and receiving this season. Good health and good sportsmanship, all! Driving toward what AJ tells me are whiteout conditions in A-town. Looking forward to a contest.
