I'm pretty sure this kid was at Mount last year, lets hope he's not another Sickmeier

He was at Mount originally, but didn't he transfer to OWU last year??  Unless I'm confusing him with another Hoover guy I think that's the case.

Hard to believe it's not the same guy.  2013 totals for Viscounte at OWU: 10 GP, 18 tackles (9 solo, 9 assisted), blocked kick.  Sounds like primarily special teams duty, with maybe some spot snaps on the DL sprinkled in there.  Certainly hope this young man has found a place to stick with this transfer.

You have to give Candeto credit for at the very least reviving some excitement around that program.  They played a lot of young guys last year and they took some lumps learning that new system.  It'll be interesting to see the progress of those kids in year 2.

The only thing that always gives me pause when it comes to Cap is whether they were a program on the rise under Collins or just a program that rode an excellent QB to success for half a decade.  They definitely had talent then, but Pentello was the difference maker.  Either way whatever momentum they had going was long since stopped by the time Candeto got there.  Seems like he's making strides in getting it going again.  That's good for the OAC.

Found out the QB coach on this years Mount union football team will be no other then Larry Kehres.     He has been working with the Qb"s during spring football.  He's baccccckkkkk, and that is great NEWS.

Though I never posted it my prediction is that within 5 years (and this was starting last year) that Larry Kehres would be back to coaching the team again.

Well, at least he'll be legitimately in the team box on the sidelines, then. :)

Wow. There's a whole lot inside that prediction, MJ.  Care to elaborate?

Just a feeling I have that Larry Kehres really was the X factor on that team and while they will stay really good they won't be as great as they were. Then again I could be completely wrong too but it's just a hunch with nothing to back it up.

Interesting but certainly not shocking that he came back in some fashion.
Since Burke has another year we know the current position doesn't require the skills of LK.
Although QB coaches in general play an important role in game planning, I'm left to believe that he will play a larger role in offensive game planning this season while working w the future QB's.
Or play a role in whatever way allows Vince to spend more time coaching the D.

Dr. Acula

I wouldn't be surprised to see VK bring LK back in the fold in a fashion where Dartt is running the offense with LK serving as a sounding board for the young OC, helping game plan during the week, working with the young QB's to develop them, etc.  Some might see it as VK/Dartt not being up to the task, but I actually see it as VK being secure enough in his position to realize it's beyond foolish to NOT have someone with LK's football mind involved as much as he wants to be.  The players benefit.  Dartt and the other coaches benefit.  VK certainly benefits because it frees him up to focus on his D.

Also, if LK is indeed back I wouldn't be surprised if he spent game day in the pressbox on the headset.  That just feels like something he'd do to show he's "just an assistant" and there's no confusion who is in charge on the sideline.  Problem is we'll have to see if his competitiveness will allow him to stay there!

Whatever he does I'm glad for him to be back.
Retiring completely while still having such passion is a shame.
