What? So ya only win 1 title in 5 years and are forced to take a backseat to Akron soccer (saw that on STO the other night - I think it was Akron).

purpled - good luck with the surgery. Take solace in the fact that it is Musky - so probably not much of a game. I am trying to work in 2 games this year. I know 1 will be at Otterbein (I am taking my sister - a rabid OSU fan - to show her that Mount is the best game in town....any town! . Not sure about the other game though.

Awesome Story on Pierre Garcon:

Pierre Garcon

I heard that LK went to Washington last week to watch the WAS/JAX game and visit it with Pierre and Cecil

Random thought...Berg's senior class comes into this season at 22-5 in OAC play (.815 winning percentage).  I'm not familiar with Berg's history other than their one championship.  Is this going to be the winningest senior class ever to graduate?  I'd have to think there's a good chance of that being the case.

In terms of wins, they will if they tie the record if they win 8 and break it if they win 9.

From 1953-1956, Heidelberg went 7-1-1, 7-1-1, 9-0, and 8-1.

For winning percentage, they're probably not going to break it.  They would have to go 15-0 and win the national title to end up with an 86.9% winning percentage over their 4 years, while from 1953-1956 it was 86.11%.

Any rumors out of University Hts. on Myers status?  I think even without him Berg has a very tall order Saturday.  The JCU defense is no joke and they still have a good RB and WR for the back up QB to work with.

Nothing is going to come out of JCU until kickoff but he's been practicing this week.  If he can practice, you have to think he'll try to go for their biggest game of the year

Did he fly there?

I hate to break this stunning silence on the weekend that OAC play starts ... but ...

Don't forget to get your OAC Pick-Em selections in by noon tomorrow.

Cheers!

Have the "fortune" of consuming today's game via 91.1 WRMU. Absolutely atrocious. Play-by-Play guy is ok, I guess? Color guy is rough to listen to and constantly talks over PBP guy. Also continues to mention how he played FB in high school, which apparently makes him a genius.

Hate bagging on students giving it a go, but wow how do they choose their broadcasters?

More Ric, please.

EDIT: Understand it isn't easy to fill time in a 45-0 game, but if the goal is the produce broadcasters out of this program, it would seem there should be higher standards.

Thanks desertraider for your thoughts regarding my surgery. And to raiderpa for the replay info. Much appreciated!

Right there with ya. In the first qtr he said "stupid play" and "dumb play" several times in regards to Burke ("stupid play by Burke on that one") because he ran that ball. In addition I think he is the one that said "eleven-teen minutes to play in the 1st qtr". I enjoy listening to the kids - always have since it has been streamed (no offense to Ric intended at all). Most do a great job - but this one I am sure will have an intersting post-game review by whom ever is running the station.

As for the game....what can one say? Mount won. The JCU/Berg game I did not see coming. Brooks with 117 yds (a few minutes to go) on 9 carries. He had 1 for 94 and 8 carries for 27. Myers for JCU lit it up with 4tds....have the tides turned and JCU is replacing Berg as Number 2?

Spurrier

#44367
spurrier says, "where all my polar bears at?"  ONU 37 Baldwin Wallace 35...polar bears come back from 14 pt deficit to score with 9 seconds left for the win...
spurrier says, "can spurrier expect the officiating to be as bad as it was this afternoon at all the OAC game sites?"
Why the defense ain't werkin'?

reality check

Happy to have another pro-ONU poster but please refrain from posting if you insist on these two things:

1.  referring to yourself in the third person (stoonk-like responses don't help anyone)

2. referring to yourself in the third person while also choosing "spurrier" as your handle

Thank you.   ;)

With that said, Coach Paul and his boys have to be on cloud nine after that comeback.  Great game in Berea and a thrilling finish.

Heidelberg is gonna Heidelberg.  They were #2 in the OAC because there was Mount and everyone else.  Now Arth has JCU looking good again.  Berg is a good team and the past couple of years that was good enough to be #2.  They were never at the level of the old JCU or the Pentello decade at Cap, more around those Ott teams in the mid 00's
