Ugly.  42-0 with 2:43 left in 1st.  And the score is misleading.  Not nearly as close as it looks.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

9:00 left in the 1st and the starters are pulled.    Jeesz.

Wilm continually turning it over didn't even let them get much work in the brief time the starters did play.

With that Wilmington touchdown, MUC will need 6 second-half field goals to make the spread.   ;)

[Well, maybe not]

Officially have a new favorite Mount Union player, reserve kicker Jefferson Lee. He's 5'2, 200 lbs and can boot it.

Any word on the Wilmington special teams player that got laid out? I was listening to game and it sounded like he just got blown-up. They said he was down for a while. I was glad he walked off but did he come back onto field after?

Some records broken today.
Most points by a kicker (previous record was 19)
Most field goals in a game (was 4)
Tied for longest field goal in school history 47 yards.
The last one is encouraging whenever we finally get into a tight game it is good to have that kind of range for a kicker.

He was sitting on the sidelines without his pads for the first half with ice strapped to his back.  I doubt he returned.  Mount had a different level of physical play than Wilma, I'm shocked more kids weren't injured.

How about the refs making up a rule and nullifying a Kennedy punt return TD?  He scooped up a short bouncing punt and ran it back, but it was ruled that he used the "get away signal" and the ball was returned to where he picked it up.

Gotta ask: what is the "get away" signal?

I think you would need to ask the ref.  Apparently a punt returner yelling and gestering to his teammates to get away from a short punt automatically downs the kick

Apparently so ... just saw the same call in the Ohio State game!

Ditto...lol!

I stand corrected.  The refs got it right.  Its rule AR 6-5-3.  Any waving by the return team is considered an invalid signal and the play is dead as soon as the ball is touched.  I can not remember ever seeing that but I bet it's not that uncommon.

Dr. Acula

10 different running backs got at least a carry today.  Thankfully it was a home game so they had 10 suited up to play.

Spurrier

Polar bears 31.  Muskrats 10.
Why the defense ain't werkin'?
