Remember when watching Taurice Scott play QB in mop up time was a reason to stay at games?  Yeah, well I'm starting to get that feeling about Jamal Johnson at RB this year.  That kid has made some highlight reel runs this year.

Yep. He is quick to the corner. Mount is now downing the ball at mid-field with 2 minutes to play. Looks like a 66-7 win. A very sloppy 66-7 win. Safe travels to all.

The results of Week # 9 of the OAC Pick-Em are posted.

The windy conditions at many games and a couple of blind-squirrel-luck spreads made for a tough week for many players, including our current leader theaprof.  His lead is now down to six with two weeks to go.

Having less trouble were HSCTiger74 with 11 and raider-in-law and shark with 10, the only pickers to go double-digits this week.

Week # 10 spreads will be out Monday night.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

How about the day Mike Collichio had for Saint John Fisher?  Two second half touchdowns,174 yards, leading receiver in the game.  Shows he has a lot of Purple in him. Good to see him running wild.

While that would certainly be nice if true, based on what I saw today they have enough to look at on their own game film.  The passing game wasn't very good against Otterbein let alone a great team.  They've got some work to do before JCU.

And before anyone says it, yes I was unhappy with a game they won 66-7.  I think most that watched it would agree the offense was not crisp.

He would have had even bigger numbers, but twice the Buff State defense had pass interference penalties on him during deep throws.  He is awesome.  Our #1 receiver is ridiculous and Collichio has been a godsend as our #2.  Thanks Mount Union!   :)

Did you actually watch this game or just commenting from a box score? Please believe the UWW DB's are not like last year. The LB's are all different and young. That makes a huge difference. The front four are just like every year, too.

Dr. Acula,

I listened to the game, and I agree the Offense was not as crisp as usual, but come on now. Look what kind a the day the
the defense had, 3 TO'S and only 74 yards for Otterbein. Hasn't everyone been saying since the beginning of the year
that the greatest concern was the defense? The Offense will have the adjustments by 11-15-14.  66 points is not too bad
on a day when the the offense was not as sharp as normal, IMHO.

Don't take the bait Bobo. Royal Purple's post was just plain silly. UW-W gave up 9 less yards passing today than they did last year to UW-P. I'll send Vince the tape myself and he can watch it until his eyes get blurry. UW-W has given up 24 points in 6 WIAC games this year. At this point last year they had given up 46.  Study away...

The defense is still a concern.  Otterbein is not good offensively.  Last year's Mount D shut them out and gave up 37 yards of total offense so they actually dominated them even more in 2013 than they did today.  And their best RB didn't even play today I don't think.

Watched it online. Platteville picked some giant holes in the WW coverage which knew they weren't running. Platteville turnovers gave away the game.......Correct me if I'm wrong Bleedpurple,,,,,UWP was walking down the field in the second half.If not for a red zone fumble and a bad pass to the goal line,,,,,,different score. Sorry different set of eyes

Just a different shade of purple in our lenses.  ;D

But it's all good. I know Mount has been destroying everyone this year. If we meet in the Stagg, we'll show up and try hard. That's all we can do.  ;)

Dr. Acula,

I agree the defense still has tests ahead of them and Otterbein's offense was inept. As fans and supporters, we all become
very critical at times, that is all I am saying. Assuming the Raiders play well at B-W this coming Saturday, focus on limiting the
the passing offense of JCU will be the top priority.
