It's supposed  to be a little chilly on Saturday so I'm willing to sell Ric's seat to the highest  bidder.  I'm sure he won't mind calling the game from the roof.   Only down side is spending 3 hours with me.

The weather will be a factor, there will be season-low point totals for both sides.

Hiram College wins the inter-collegiate basketball world championship at the World's Fair Universal Exposition Olympic Games in St. Louis, Missouri. Final score: Hiram, 25; Latter Day Saints University, 18.

Craft_Beermeister

I'm hoping to get a seat in press box Saturday.

Mount is good but the JCU juggernaut only put up 17 on ONU.

I'll take 57-16 Mount. It would be a season low and a complete monkeystomp!!

Who all is planning on being in Alliance Saturday? I'm glad I got my tickets early as Mount Union announced they are no longer selling tickets until SRO on Saturday morning.

I just got an email about Mounts comp tickets for faculty and staff. 2 free with purple plus - SRO. But I don't have anyone to go with....so I may sit this one out.

desertraider,

I will have a a ticket available, since my wife will not be coming. My season tickets are in Sec. 5 row H (covered stands). If you are another
Raider fan want to seat about on the 40 yard line, let me know?

Raider68:

Hope you have a great time with all your Mount buddies at the game Sat.  Dress warm.  I think it will be a great game and I would expect you will have a huge crowd in attendance.  We'll be trying to keep warm for our own season final at Hope when Kalamazoo visits. ;)  I'm hoping the weather is decent for one last time.  Regarding the latter, my apologies to those of you who will be sitting through the first playoff game-but I'd take that for sure had we made the playoffs!

That's actually 1 point short of a Double Monkeystomp, which would be very impressive indeed.

Saturday Primer:  Burke vs. Meyer

I love the PD...even a Division III matchup is some how framed around Brian Hoyer vs. Johnny Manziel.  I'd say that paper is a joke...but I'm not sure they even make a paper anymore.

I expect that from the PD. What is sad is that the comments at the bottom from readers are all about Johnny v. Brian. No one that read it even mentions Burke and Myers. Oh well...thats okay. The truth is no one gets DIII news from the PD - they get it here so who carees what their take is on it? At least here D3 football is serious football - not a novelty act.

Raider68: Thanks for the offer - most generous - but I may have a buddy talked into coming for SRO tickets. Hope to see you all there!

I guess I care too much about the deserving kids getting the recognition they are due.  Just heard about the section voting done by the 7 HC's in our section.  The QB I shared film on was not determined to be one of the top two QB's in his seven team section in spite of leading the state of AZ in passing yards per game and leading his division in total yards while accounting for 40 total touchdowns.  His teammate, who led the state and NATION in kick return average was not recognized as one of the two best returners in our section.  A kid who was second in the section and was good for 127 tackles and 23 tackles for loss was only a second teamer.  I feel bad for these kids that coaches don't take the time to get it right.  When my HC said something about the KR kid, the other coaches acknowledged they had no idea he led the state or country in return average in spite of that being written on his nomination.  Some of these guys deserve a swift kick to the nuts.
