What a joke.  More than one than account, including a former roommate corroborating a story would be more hearsay than libel.

I've been a lawyer for 16 years, I know libel when I see it.

Like I said, I am only speaking on the departure from Pitt, because that is all that I have a factual certainty of; his JCU classmates now certainly have a better insight on him today.

never denied him being a good teammate.  Just that the NCAA seems to think that he partied a little too much twice while he was playing D1 perhaps with his other former Pitt/current JCU teammate that I am no longer allowed to mention on the boards.

reality check

To be fair, suit bought an appalling lavender-colored rayon sportcoat and pants from a Goodwill a few years ago so he could be a superfan sitting in the stands at Mount games so he's clearly an expert on legal matters too.  Plus he drove past a Holiday Inn Express once.

Libelous!!!! there was no lavender colored suits purchased, they were dyed.  As someone familiar with the situation, I urge you to no longer spread libelous allegations.  I can not stand for such accusations.  Now, we may have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in the past nine Stagg Bowl visits.

Nah, I heard from a guy that knows some other guy that swears they were bought.  It's hearsay so I'm safe.

Partial truth, they were bought and dyed.  Your sources were pretty accurate.  You should ask them if they have heard anything about D3 quarterbacks

I know we're not talking about Tim Warsinskey anymore but like I said, I actually met him at an actual game, one that didn't even involve BW or JCU, so it's not like he just sits in Cleveland and writes glorified game stories.

That's all I'm saying.

Pat also doesn't typically love personal attacks and name calling,  trust me I know.  I know that I'll be in trouble soon for presenting the facts about Mr Myers departure from Pitt.

And as for this -- present actual evidence. We're waiting. Terms of Service would support me flagging you right now, but hey, some people seem to be amused by you so maybe not yet.

Did we shift to Easterbrook? Too address HCAlums "libel" issue....it's only libel if it is false. I am not saying it is false, or it isn't - I don't know. But if the eveidence is out there then...where is the evidence?

Here is all I can find about Myers and Pitt:
http://www.pittblather.com/2012/08/03/mark-myers-wont-be-the-back-up/

Its a blog - so "perhaps" a bit more opnion - but it mentions nothing of drugs (nor do any of the comments), or what was the thing about somebody upper-cutting someones wife???? All accounts I can find have him as a pretty stand-up guy and good team mate, but with a wild arm. Anyway - I do know he (Myers) likes to party (find a college kid who doesn't) and ventures into the NDC neighborhoods...I have heard from several students at NDC that he turns up in the off-campus area for parties pretty frequently.

The reference to someone upper-cutting someone's wife no doubt refers to the guy who was hired to coach Pitt after Wannstedt was fired.  Don't recall his name, but he had been the head coach at Miami of Ohio.  I believe he was officially head coach of Pitt for about two weeks max, then got fired when he was charged with domestic violence.

I read the PD regularly.  I agree with Suit's assessment that most of his stuff is game recaps as he described.  He does go to some games though so I always think of him as more like a Mike Popovich (Canton Rep) type.  Tim at least gets D3 coverage in the PD and for that I'm thankful.  Can't expect the PD to be the Alliance Review where Jeff Zupanic is literally a Mount Union beat writer covering their teams on a daily basis, talking to players/coaches, etc.

Mike Haywood....I just googled it. Said he was HC for 16 days.

Just saw this little nugget: http://www.wksu.org/news/story/41035
I like Terry Pluto but did not yet listen to the audio. The article (written by Amanda Rabinowitz) has some errors (ex: Mount and JCU played in Alliance, not Cambridge), but I found this odd:

"Mt. Union's quarterback is Kevin Burke, who is a graduate of St. Edward's High School in Cleveland. "He's 5'11" won all these games but he was considered too short. He has very high grades; he's got a bunch of academic aid.""

Not sure what his level of academic aid has to do with anything...but yes - he is pretty smart.

The Kehres guys respected John Carrol and got conservative in second half and let the clock run.

Does Larry Kehres have an active and defined role on this team??  I thought he retired to let VK call the shots?

From what I understand LK is helping with Quarterbacks. Don't know if he is the QB Coach or not but he is helping with QBs.

Geoff Dartt is Larry's son-in-law and Larry wants to help him be successful.  From what I heard Geoff is very open to suggestions from his father-in-law.

No need to speculate about Myers. Let it go.
