As I understand the College football rule on pass interference (as opposed to the NFL rule), there is no penalty for "face guarding."  The defensive back does not have to have his head turned back toward the passer.  He can have his back to the passer during the entire play.  So,  unless the defender actually makes contact with the offensive player--receiver-- before the ball arrives there is no PI.  Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.

KB throws the 5 yard pass like a fastball. I have counted 6 or 7 balls that he just rifles and the WR can't hold onto them. Problem is that it is like giving away a down on every drive. Last drive they had the rifle off the hands, run for no gain, toss up to Meacham incomplete, punt from the 5 and give JC a short field down 15. I don't get it.
