Arguing with Suit is pointless.  He is never wrong, because when he is wrong, he changes the goalposts on you.  Just don't bother.

Thanks d3db.

I believe she had someone in mind or she hoped to bring in but the job sat unclaimed for five months.  One of the only reasons cited was a desire for an on-campus coach.  Never was I asked about moving over as a teacher.  The new guy is also off-campus.  So clearly the plan changed or was all BS.  I was also notified I wasn't returning via email.  Class act all the way.  LOL.
OK, despite you being a CJ grad... I like you.  So as a result, I'm going to give you some advice:  GET OUT OF ARIZONA, dude.  Seriously.  You got screwed in football also.  I know you're a good coach -- because you care.  And because you care, you have been in a couple crappy situations.  I know coaching can be a transient life until you get settled and thats my point -- take this as a lesson and get out of Arizona.  I don't want to disparage the people of Arizona, but look around you.  You're not in the Midwest.  Look at the crime reports in Phoenix -- I know because I sold police equipment in the West and besides CA, by far my biggest accounts were in the Phoenix Metro area.  Places like Maryvale and Sun City are downright scary and you have a growing family.  Yes, you live way outside of the Metro area but with the Cartels coming across the border -- now is the time to get out of AZ for the Schreels.  I'm serious.

Oh no! Someone needs to tell Spurrier there's a polar bear lost in the desert!

Sounds like Mount has never seen a team like Wesley before....sounds familiar

Hopefully the Wolverines will make enough mistakes so Mount can have a shot at winning on Saturday.  I can't believe how lucky Mount has been to play so many games against teams not playing smart football.  It's flabbergasting

Come on now, that's not what I'm talking about.  Besides, we know how it works out when you drop the ol Mt. hasn't seen a team like you know who before.

You were the one last year, if I recall, that was all about teams peeing down their legs in fear of Mt.
Mt is great enough on their own that they don't need help from the competition making stupid mistakes.  That's all I'm saying.  To have a chance at Mt, eliminate the unforced errors because Mt is too good at forcing them.

it was directed more at the post above yours.  No argument.  Back to talking about the greatest Wesley College football team ever

No, I want to hear more about how Mount Union is unstoppable at home...again.  Please.  With irrrefutable statistics.....again.

He was saying the same thing before the Stagg Bowl last season. If Wesley wins, don't worry....he'll once again fall off the d3boards until the dust settles in September 2015.

Well they have been really, really good at home. Unstoppable, no. However, they seem to always find ways to win at home, either making a key turnover late or putting together a quick 4th quarter touchdown.

Here's how I see it. At this point, you have to play your best game of the year to move on. I see it being true even more so this year. All the best to the final four teams.

Mount Union = Great team.
Wesley = Great team.
Whitewater = Great team.
Linfield = Great team.

Only one gets to be the greatest (this year). I for one hope that it is Wesley. If not, congrats to who ever it is.

Pre-Stagg Bowl...

The machine is still rolling.  If the secondary keeps playing like this all it will do is give Mount fans more chest pains than normal on the way to title #12.  The defense will get it together, if not Burke will lead the way.  I'd be more concerned about the halftime adjustments before the play of either side of the ball.

Post-Stagg Bowl...

Mount got embarrassed, it was bound to happen with the worst defense I have ever seen at Mount.

And a bonus...

Second place will never be something that goes over well at Mount, but if one takes a step back and realizes that it wasn't a horrible season.  Enjoy your championship, but there is a long time of success for UWW needed before you could understand what its like to be Mount Union.

I particularly enjoyed the condescending "Enjoy your championship" line.  As though UWW hadn't won one before.

But it proves the other poster wrong when he said he disappears from the boards after the stagg loss.

Suit, where at any point did I say that Mount has not seen a team like Wesley before?  If you have something useful to add to the conversation have at it.  If not crawl back into your hole and disappear.

Posting consistent for days leading up to the stagg bowl, then going quiet for over two months after they were blow out.

The fact that you guys are discussing him just feeds the voices inside his head.  He's simply the reincarnation of 70'sRaider in a bad, faded leisure suit.  Ignore him.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Honest respectable Mount Union fans know that Wesley is a great team and has all the weapons to beat the Raiders on Saturday.  Mount has seen teams as good as Wesley before, but probably not since last season in the semis and Stagg.  John Carroll was a step up from all opponents this season and is close to getting there under Tom Arth.

WWW kicked our butts last year, no way to explain no excuses, just a total trip to the proverbial woodshed.  Hadn't seen anything like that since the Eisenhower administration..or near there.

Wesley got into a hole and did a fantastic job catching up in 2013.  I attribute that to great play and Mount trying to sit on a prevent type defense that allowed the Wolverines to gain confidence and play like they were comfortable and capable.
Hopefully that will not be the case Saturday.  I would like to believe if Mount can get ahead by a couple scores that they continue to push and be aggressive on D.  Getting ahead by a couple scores will be difficult and not guarantee victory.

It should be a classic.  I hope both teams play their best so there is no room for excuses at the end.

Safe travels to all, Saturday looks like upper 30's, low 40's and sunny.  May the best team win.
