Callahan is still in with 3 minutes to go.  He's only a junior, so I get it to some extent.  But I feel like I'd want to get my back up a few snaps too.  Might as well let him play.  And that's not a knock on Drass.  He seems like a class guy.  He got his senior RB in there right away in the 2nd half so the kid could get some carries.

Home warming up already!  Holy mother of beat downs!

Mount's offensive & defensive lines OWNED the line of scrimmage today.

Way to get it done boys.  On to the Stagg!

Great seeing Wesleydad, meeting Wesleydad/dad, and seeing Saints Fan.  Great getting together as always.

Congrats on the 2014 Season Surprise.

Please don't think I disrespect Wesley - I don't. But I am a Mount fan, and Mount is THE Mount in my mind. 55-17 Raiders.

Having said that - I wish both teams an injury and incident free game. Safe travels to all.

Nailed it DesertRaider. Kudos on having the closest score prediction I saw on these boards.

The zebras are doing their best to make sure Whitewater joins MUC again in Salem.  So far in the first half, every call has gone against Linfield.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

I just got home from the game.  We left when itwas 70 zip and Mount put in the second team.
The crowd in the Dom Capers Press Box was going crazy.  A great place to watch games.

If Wesley played in the OAC this year they would finish #3 behind JCU and UMU. Lots of skill players but not going to dominate the OAC. Kicking game would cost them a game or two all by itself. Special teams would cost them at least one score a game also. Love the exciting offense but the lateral passing attack didnt sustain drives enough.

So very happy UMU didnt try to sit on the lead all second half. Better to let the backups go full tilt and learn something than to play the starters and back off. Heres wishing Linfield all the best ;).

LOVE THEM PURPLE RAIDERS!

Who was going crazy? Wesley staff or Raider staff? What was said in the press box?

We've all seen Mount beat down very good teams in the past but today's game was like no other! Burke was awesome and I swear on one of Mitchell's runs I saw 4 Wesley players picking up their jock straps. :)

Totally unexpected blow out today.  Mount's offense is as efficient as I have ever seen, and the receiving corp is a nightmare for anyone.
Koudossou gets a big game, but most of his damage was done against 2nd team DB's and after the game was essentially over.  He is a great receiver, but Mount took him away until the bus was warming up.

This was the best Mound defense I have seen in two years and the best pass coverage I have seen in a longer period of time.

superb performance.

Linfield looks overmatched in the first half. Maybe they will come on in the second, but I have seen nothing that would lead me to believe it.

By my count Koudossou had 4 catches for 26 yards when the game was 49-0.  No catch longer than 9 yards.  That's above and beyond what you can reasonably expect against a great WR like him so kudos to the DB's.  Folks who didn't watch the game may check out the box score and think he lit up the Mount D again, but that was not the case at all.  He put up 200 yards after the game was over for all intents and purposes.

I watched the game on the ESPN stream and was at a loss for words. Wesley looked like Otterbein. Kept running the same 3 or 4 plays trying to get Mount to bunch - and then toss it downfield toward the sideline (20-25 yds). I am not trying to offend the Wesley crew but: screen plays don't work on this D (at least not yet). When the D blows up 2, 3 , 4 screen plays - and I mean even if the 1st guy missed another 3 or 4 are right there - erase it from the play sheet. I saw Mount do things today that I have not seen since guys like Chris Kern were around. They FORCED TOs - the fumble by Callahan was all on Callahan - but they FORCED them. Jumping routes, making hits - pressuring the QB all day long! These were not mistakes. Kudos to Wesley for not quitting. I know how hard it is to lineup down 70 and play for pride. Today was not your day. If I were Callahan I would see a doctor for a mild sedative - cuz he is going to be seeing Lally, Gonnell, Furda and the Purple Haze in his sleep tonight. Roll Raiders~Roll!

Look at the boxscore and this looks like it was a real game. Then again a wise man (well, a man anyway) once said that "statistics are like bikinis...". So true, so true.
