Welcome back, bceagle80!

Your posts reminded me of a question I meant to ask at the beginning of the playoffs but had forgotten to.  I know that roster size is limited for the playoff runs, but is the roster set before the playoff game and is then the same throughout?  Or is there a chance for someone to be added to the playoff roster after they begin providing another player is dropped?

To my knowledge, once the playoff roster is set, then that is it.

The playoff roster can change up to 10 minutes before kickoff.

Per quote from D3Football website.
"Starting in 2012, the limit was increased from 52 to 58 players. That list is final 10 minutes before kickoff but can be changed until then. A team can field a different roster in each round, if it desires. Both the home and road team are limited to suiting up 58 players. The team's remaining players cannot be in the team box on the sidelines during the game."

Thanks, Knight Raider and all the others who responded.  I had looked quickly on the D3 page, but hadn't seen it.

Yes, thanks for the clarification.  Was what I thought, however, I was unaware of the time limits mentioned.

I think Pat meant to say that Burke could be the "Archie Griffin" not Archie Manning.

Anyone know the breakdown for the Gagliardi? I know service counts - but how much? Curious cause the kid from Illinois College definately has an edge in that category. Wow - very impressive.

Wow. Jim Gagliardi lets a couple awkward comments get in.
1. "You guys [Mount Union & UWW] have been year a number of times, some think too many times, but anyway.."
2. Basically said that his dad felt the UWW kid should have been in final 4 - couldn't believe he wasn't - and wanted to know who was voting for this.

They were not offensive - just awkward. And he seemed very uncomfortable. Oh well.

I hope the feed for the game is better than the award ceremony. The sound has been terrible. Burke is being interviewed by pat and there is no sound.

Did you make sure the volume isn't muted on the youtube link? That does happen a fair amount and has nothing to do with the feed.

Sound was fine during KB's video. As soon as it cut to him on stage it went out. When the kid from Ilinois College had his video on it had like a 2 second delay so it sounded like it was being performed in a round.

Sound is back now - so maybe I will hear KBs name again  ;D(I hope!)

I know that Jim Ballard and Bill Borchert will always hold a special place in Raiders fans hearts - however - as a 2 time winner of the Gagliardi Award is KB now the best Mount QB ever? Or does he need another ring on top of it?

Granted I want to see the Raiders get another ring and I know KB wants one as well - but does he have to have that for his legacy?

I get the question and think it's fair to ask given this latest accomplishment.  But, as someone who never saw Ballard or Borchert play, I still think Burke is after them.  But, it does make me wonder who the next B-named QB for Mount will be.

In many ways, Burke's one leg up (only two time Gagliardi winner) on the others is at least partly due to things done off the field.  if you're talking the best QB's, it has to be highly skewed towards the stats and Burke, while impressive, isn't there.

As far as legacy and the way he'll be viewed goes, then yes, Burke needs another title to be in the conversation as well, and one over Whitewater would really help him given the way the series has gone these last years.  A title is always a title and nobody would trade the win over St Thomas for anything, but there would be an extra sweetness to beating UWW again after they've been this prominent for this long.
