Pardon the non football post, but it's time for my annual hat tip to Mount's first dominant program.  Congrats to the men's track team for cruising to the indoor title nearly doubling up 2nd place JCU.  They have won 67% of the OAC indoor titles since their first in 1964 and have a combined total of 65 team titles between indoor/outdoor.  That's a lot of real estate in those trophy cases in the MAAC.

Also, congrats to Coach Fuline and his guys pulling off a huge win at Etta to win hoops and earn the first NCAA berth since 1997.  Big step forward for the program.

Mount Union's Women's Track team also won the OAC Indoor Title. It is their 4th straight OAC Indoor Championship.

Saw on Twitter that Dan Larlham is the new HC at CVCA.  Right across the street from his alma mater/employer.  Certainly an easy commute to practice.  Hope he does well there.

Would be nice if the OAC posted their 2015 schedules soon. Many of the other Ohio schools have including all d2 schools. Trying to work the one  OAC school I haven't been too (Wilmington)into the schedule. 41 schools in ohio play varsity football. 30 down ,11 to go.

Couple QB's from Michigan.  That's something different.  Can't make the MIAA coaches happy if they decide to start mining MI for QB's.

True.  But don't forget that many hs teams have their best athlete at qb.  Many d3 (and even d1) schools recruit tons of hs qbs; most end up playing something else.

Well, yeah.  But it's still equally bad for MIAA schools if Mount is taking the "best athletes" from the Michigan HS teams, lol.

I can help with a few Wilmington games in 2015:

Wilmington at Baldwin Wallace 10/17/2015 http://www.bwyellowjackets.com/sports/fball/future_varsity_schedule
UMU at Wilmington 10/24/2015 http://athletics.mountunion.edu/sports/fball/future_schedules
ONU at Wilmington 11/7/2015 http://onusports.com/sports/fball/2015-16/schedule

Obviously the other teams have their schedules set but with a quick glance I could not find them.

Dr. Acula

Here is the OAC schedule from the conference website:

Somewhere HScoach is cringing at the idea of someone looking for a Wilm football game to watch on purpose.

Without knowing anything about any of these guys other than what is presented here some of the numbers look really good for those positions for a 17 or 18 year kid and how they may be able to develop at Mount

Eh.  That's a self-answered thing, so he may have said that stuff because he got a single letter from the places.

I was still getting form letters from Columbia into my senior year, even though there was never any serious interest (I attended a "Junior Day" for prospective recruits and the coaches basically sized me up & made a mental note "No chance, too small"), and I got token letters from Lehigh and a couple Ivies.  These days, I'd recognize them for what they were, but at the time if I'd been "interviewed" for anything, I'm sure I would have taken the chance to talk about how I was getting "interest" from Lehigh, Columbia, etc.
