I saw some stuff recently on a Browns board that Mark Meyers allegedly in some big trouble.  A poster on the board indicated that the pending charges against him are ORC 2913.31A3 - 5 counts, plus Grand Theft and Telecomm fraud thrown in.

An additional posting indicated Meyers had an OVI in Lyndhurst reduced to a Reckless Operation due to a legal issue last Fall.  Mark then got an OVI in Pepper Pike, along with a Drug Paraphernalia charge in January 2015.  Those remain pending.

Source, please.

When you come here and drop assertions that a guy is facing criminal charges, one would think you could link to something (court docket? newspaper?) proving that's true other than "I heard on a Browns board..."

I indicated it was reported as allegedly...  The link is http://cle.scout.com/forums/4409-the-watercooler/13678800-john-carroll-qb-mark-myers-sounds-like-an-intriguing-prospect?s=149&page=2

There is some information on page 1 in the subject as well.  I wasn't able to find anything else on Google searches.

Geez, Craft. You may want to post nothing when it comes to impugning a kid's reputation.  Earlier, you mysteriously talked about inside information that would eventually come out regarding a hiring process.  All these vague allusions to something you supposedly knew that others did not, but no details.  And now, when it comes to allegations that could be a serious deal for a kid, you cite a specific section of the law as posted on a message board.  I'm trying to figure out how you roll.

When his negative Karma is twice as much as his positive Karma, he likes to roll the wrong way.

Agreed.  It would have taken about 3 minutes to find something worth linking instead of the Browns message board.

QuoteJohn Carroll QB Mark Myers was scheduled to work out but didn't attend. Players from Toledo, JCU, Notre Dame College, Findlay & Mt Union did

JCU's Golden Boy has been quite busy, so it took a little more than 3 minutes.

The dates of the Cuyahoga County case are particularly intriguing.

Suit, although I don't celebrate the situation, this post of yours deserves applause.

So he was indicted during the season?  I don't recall, was this story public at the time?

SaintsFAN

Those are some serious charges and probably a signal of something going on with the young man.

I hope he can get this resolved and back on track.  He's still very, very young.

Dr. Acula

Based on my quick research the other day I'd be shocked if it wasn't him.  And if it is then I hope he gets whatever help he needs and gets his life on track.

PurpleSuit

It is absolutely him.  Born in '92 and a Pepper Pike address.  Come on. It should make one re-think the Pitt stories that I posted and got berated.

Is there anything Tom Arth won't overlook in order to beat Mount? It sucked for Roman, who was later acquitted, but LK/VK handled that situation appropriately.

I find it more intriguing that the docket you posted a link to in Cuyahoga County says the defendant is black.

Personally, I'm not ready to applaud just yet...

PurpleSuit

I wonder if its the fact there are 15 or so co-defendants, some of which may be black.  If you knew much about the Pepper Pike address, its Myers.

Good news for UWW  fans, Myers looks to break Coppage's felony record for D3 All-Something players.

Nope. A kid's mistakes aren't good news for UW-W fans regardless of school affiliation. News like this is only relished by people with deep personal issues.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't see the docket, the dates and the lack of missing even a game and think about the Namdar situation.  As an alum I'm thankful that situation was handled properly by Mount.

reality check

The typo of being "black" was discussed on the Browns board.  He has the same attorney, address, DOB, etc. as the white version in the other cases.  It's a typo.

Never thought I'd see the day someone on these boards would cheer on the bad decisions made by a player/former player. You can literally see PurpleSuit getting off on this. It's absolutely disgusting.  :-[

Dr. Acula

Interesting article about Malone mulling over a possible drop to D3.  This would probably be a good thing for Mount because Malone's only chance in local recruiting is scholarships.

Canton Rep

I find it amusing that Malone is searching for a level to compete in where they truly fit well. Their charter specifically prohibited football for decades. Come late to the game and struggle to catch up with other well established teams.....imagine that! Are they competitive in their other sports programs or is this football driven? Do you think Wilmington could beat them?

I vote for Namdar at Qb. The kid has a rifle and makes sound decisions with the ball. Hes not gonna pull the ball down and run as quickly....but with his speed, opponents better hope he doesnt.

The development of the boys in the trenches will ultimately decide the outcome of the season. Whitewater excels at that.

Will we be able to replace the placekicker? Anybody reliable over 35 yds?
