Wabash just landed our stud QB.  I didn't think he was considering D-III or else I would have lobbied hard for him to consider ONU.

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/426385/highlights/189862375/v2

6'4" lefty with strong arm, great feet and vision, sub 4.8 forty, 4.0 GPA, natural leader and throws balls I've never seen a hs kid complete routinely.

32 TDs to 9 INT, 2870 passing yards in 10 games, 61% completion percentage and 62 carries for 368 yards (6 YPC) and 8 rushing TD's.

I wish I knew he was considering D-III because I would have pushed OAC.  Wabash may not know just how good of a get this is but they scored big-time.  They've gotten a couple kids from here in the past and that pipeline pays off again.

I'm curious to see what the attendance figure is going to be for OSU's spring game today.  It's absolutely perfect outside here so my guess is it's going to be huge.

They should have found another 70 people standing around the stadium so they could have cleared 100K.   ;D

It's crazy that they make $500,000 selling tickets to an intrasquad.

IIRC, Michigan did the same thing - and they aren't even very good lately! ::)  (Having a new HC with a great pedigree always seems to bring out the optimist in fans! ;))

So many factors go into the next four years. Kid looks good in the highlights, but making projections is a fools game. I still laugh about Beano Cook predicting Ron Powlus would win 2 Heisman Trophies at Notre Dame after he signed his letter of intent. Powlus was a good QB for the Golden Domers, so there is no way you could say he flopped. But when people start prediction All-American or Heisman's from h.s. tape... yes, it is crazy.

Agreed, with some commentary..........sounds like his coach is weighing in here,.... as a coach myself that carries a lot more weight with me than a fan, as the coach knows that kid's work habits, his ability under pressure, and when facing adversity, and his leadership skills and character, in addition to seeing his athletic ability on a daily basis. One thing I always think has to be considered is the level of competition that the athlete has played against in high school. There always is a jump "up" in playing ability from D1 down to the top level D3 schools for a kid coming out of high school. The step up will be easier for those who have played against top level talent while in high school. When recruiters talk to me one of the first things they touch on is the high level of competition in our high school football here. I feel pretty confident when one of mine goes to college.I commented a few weeks back on a Mount Union recruit who I have coached AGAINST for 3 years, and I watched him excel against a lot of D1 talent. Leads me to believe he will have a real shot at being an outstanding player at the next level. Remember...for a lot of these kids they are leaving as the "big thing" at their high school and walking onto a campus where they are sharing a field with 80 other high schools' "big thing". That can be a real eye opener for them.Other factors always come into play as well.......will the athlete get the job done in the classroom?....will being far away from home have an adverse effect?....and in particular for the D3 athlete, will the financial resources be available for 4 years? As a coach, I always feel that I have a pretty good idea on who will be successful as a college athlete concerning players I have coached or coached against. HOWEVER.....I would never project any of them as a future all american at any level. Only time can tell that.

reality check

Technically Saintsfan said he'll be an All-American.  And Saintsfan's 1. not all there already and 2. got nothing to lose by saying that.  I personally happen to think Adam will do REALLY well.  And I do think he has the potential to be one of the best QB's around.

Regarding competition, we play in Division III in AZ.  Schools in Division III out here are between 1300-1700 students (9-12).  Three of the final four teams in the state tourney each of the last three years have been in our section so Adam has played against some of the best and held his own.

Coach,
Wasn't implying that you said that. I was just responding to the notion that anyone would predict that of any HS athlete coming out. As his coach, ( I am assuming you are), I regard your opinion of the kid more than anyone else's. I am sure the kid will have a good college career, and hope all the best for him.
