reality check

This msg board dates back to the 2005 season and I went back to Oct/Nov of 2005 on here.  All the discussion was about CAP or ONU with little to no talk of "ONU can't even qualify".  It's all ancient history now.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

I can't speak to the discussion on the message board but our projection had Capital in sixth of the seven Pool C teams and Ohio Northern had no real shot at getting on the board. Their SOS (back then they used the QOW) wasn't high enough for them to even be mentioned.

Is anyone going to the game tomorrow?

I would love to check out Berg's new stadium because it looks pretty cool, but I wouldn't do it for a Mount game.  Not enough seating.  I'll end up going to an early season Wilm or Etta game there in the future when the weather is nice!

Safe travels to anyone on the road.

Polar bears get it done in the second half...love the way this team competes
Why the defense ain't werkin'?

Watched the Mount/Berg game and was not really impressed. Mount had a ton of penalties - Hietshue (sp) was ejected early (anyone know why?)- and some missed opportunities. I think Hietshue was tossed for a late hit on QB - but I saw it and it wasn't that bad. The Berg announcers even said that it "wasn't enough to get tossed". Defense was great and really didn't give up much until 4th qtr. Berg drove down and had ball at 1 very early (2nd or 3rd series) and I think they got 3 chances from the 1 and ended up taking the field goal. Nice stand by the D. Would have liked to have seen more but Berg's camera operator seemed to have fallen asleep a few times during the game. Camera would be looking at the 40yd line and zoomed in, but the LOS was out of screen shot. Always adjusted just after the tackle. Didn't see a couple of TDs and missed a few of Berg's red zone plays as well. All-in-all Berg had more success than I thought they would - but a win is always good.

Fantastic week by my buddy Raider68 as he was perfect in conference and went 13 of 15 overall to take the top spot in this week #7 OAC Pick-Em.

02 Warhawk's overall lead is now up to 6, but he all by himself.  No one to draft off of, no one to watch his back.  Unprotected and unloved.

Week #8 spreads come out Monday night.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Shameless self promotion:

The Head Football Coach at my HS resigned on Friday morning and I was named Interim Head Coach.  We won Friday night 55-27.

I should retire now with an undefeated record.   ;)

Fivay High School, Hudon, FL.  Three more games in our season.  Currently 3-4.  Not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but if we win our last two districts games and other oddities happen, we're still in the hunt.
