Thank you for all the posts on coaches.

I was mainly looking for coaches at some of the lower tier DI (or DII or NAIA) schools.  Trying to make contact to help a couple of my player get looked at.

Probably can't afford to go to DIII and take on all the loans, but may be able to qualify for partial scholarships.

Notre Dame College is the DII you could look at for opportunity. However, if you care at all about academics and value a college education - look away. Sorry, I taught there for 6 years (just left last year) and it was the absolute opposite what college is supposed to be. I had 3 basketball players that not only failed but attended 6 classes all semester. I did all the stuff I am supposed to do (notify coaches, notify admin, notify dean, etc..) and knew they had done the same in the other course they were taking (faculty talk ya know) and yet come bball season all 3 are on the court starting. Same for several football players - had 1 actually hand me a note and tell me that he was never told he had to be in class and that his high school allowed players to have other students complete work for them. It was a stark contrast to my time at Mount. Even the admin seemed willing to look the other way for "student" athletes at NDC. My .02 cents.

Nice tunage preceding the MUC radio broadcast.   :)

Two lost fumbles already for the Raiders.  Sloppy.  And from the sounds of it...windy.

0-0 after 1.  BW has moved the chains thanks to Moeglin.

And there's a 3rd Mount turnover already.  A pass off Namdar's hands results in a pick.

Kennedy and Wilson are both dinged up and out currently on offense.

Scott hits freshman WR Skyler Scott for an 18 yd TD.  7-0 finally.  You can hear the wind whipping on the radio guys' mics.  Could be a grind it out afternoon.

Namdar hauls in an 11 yd score just before half.  14-0 at half.

Craft_Beermeister

Mount has almost 200 more yards in offense and 3 turnovers keeping the game closer.

At the beginning of the broadcast when TJ Downing mentioned that Mount was "the healthiest" team in football, a cold chill went up my spine.  And sure enough the injuries started ...

Don't appreciate the turnovers but looking forward to the starters playing a full game.  Not a bad thing going into the playoffs.

I wanna go on record saying "thank you BW". Mount needs this. Yes Mount is dominating the stats and moving at will - but BW is hitting hard and causing TOs. 14-0 at the half was not in Mount's game plan and that will cause adjustments. In addition - nice job by Skyler Scott. Freshman, first real action and is making it count. I hope it is nothing serious for Wilson or Kennedy as both will be needed moving forward.

Oh - and Mounts D is killing it right now. Looking forward to a great 2nd half. I know most of y'all listen to the professional broadcast but give a listen to the kids at WRMU. Noah Hiles and the guys really do a great job.

The WRMU kids usually have more interesting stuff to share between plays too.  They're on campus with the players 24/7 unlike the 1310 guys so they just have more info on that front.

Looks like JCU has come back from down 13-0 to lead Ott 21-13 now.  I can't believe the Cards got to 13 to be honest.  Green is back at QB for Ott this week FWIW.

Kennedy is already back in so he must be fine.  Wilson it doesn't sound as promising.  Skyler Scott is filling in well so far.

OAC officials are horrible.  That is all.

If the season ended today, would Taurice Scott be the d3football.com All-American starting quarterback?  Does anybody have a better all-around resume?

Dr. Acula

I don't know the national scene well, but at minimum I would say Callahan from Wesley would be ahead of him.  Scott is very efficient (#3 in the nation coming into today) and he's run for over 500 yds with 9 rushing TD thus far too, but I'm not sure that's enough to overtake Callahan's raw numbers and resume.

The Linfield QB comes to mind, as well.  And Cuda from Case has great numbers.

Whether it was windy weather, nasty spreads, or simply some surprising scores, only a handful of folks managed to get even half of the available 17 points this week.  02 Warhawk and aueagle aced the conference schedule on their way to 14 points and share medalist honors.

Which means the corpulent vocalist with the two "X" chromosomes is quickly warming up.  02 Warhawk has a commanding nine-point lead with one week left in the OAC Pick-Em regular season.  But with twenty points available next week ...

Week #11 spreads will come out TUESDAY night.  And with what will thrill desertraider to no end, as in the past the last regular season week will only includes OAC games.  The remaining available points will be based on statistical side-bets from the Mount Union-John Carroll game.

BW played as well as anybody has played Mount all season. They always seem to be in the game for a half, then things change. Today was no exception. BWs Qb looked to be very concussed and I cant imagine how he can clear concussion protocol for next weeks game. Too bad because he was the best thing the Yellowjackets had going for them all season. This game was good in that the starters had to play deep into the second half and that will prepare them for the playoffs. Lets hope that the Raiders survive next week relatively injury free. I dont see them wiping the floor with anyone in the playoffs. I still see some exploitable fundamental weaknesses and I hope the opposition doesnt> ;)

For everyone going to the JCU-Mount game next week, here is the JCU Athletics official release:

"The John Carroll University Department of Athletics has announced game day and ticket information for the football regular season finale between the Blue Streaks and the University of Mount Union.

On Saturday, Nov. 14 at 10:00 a.m., the Department of Athletics will begin selling game tickets on Belvoir Road near the walkway to Don Shula Stadium and the tennis courts.

There will be no online ticket sales or will call for this game. Ohio Athletic Conference passes will be accepted, but passholders must pick up physical tickets.

General admission tickets are $7. Senior citizens, non-OAC students, and youth tickets are $3. All John Carroll, Mount Union or other OAC students can enter for free with a valid student I.D.

All John Carroll fans in attendance at the football game are encouraged to take advantage of free admission to the women's basketball game at 6:00 p.m. that evening. Fans can trade their football tickets for an equal number of basketball seats in the DeCarlo Center.

Fans arriving early to purchase tickets will be able to attend the official Blue Streaks tailgate beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Carroll Crazies will have commemorative t-shirts for the first 100 JCU students that arrive at the tailgate. As always, fans are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages to the tailgate.

Belvoir Road will be closed beginning at 8:00 a.m. to all traffic (excluding Mount Union support vehicles). Guests should enter campus through the main gate.

The Mount Union tailgate area is located in the Boler School of Business parking lot.

Purple Raiders fans may enter the visitors side when all gates open at 12:00 p.m. Additional restrooms, concessions and programs will be made available on the visitors side. Fans sitting on the visitors side will be directed to enter Shula Stadium through the walkway to the west of the tennis courts."
