What I find interesting is that I didn't mean the North/South etc in the way it was taken. I guess given the number of NCAC and East Region'ers in here I should have been much more descriptive. (BTW: I did not just say that the NCAC was in the East Region). Perhaps I should have used smaller, monosyllabic words, grunted and pointed with a stick, drawn pictures - or used a map perhaps to illustrate where (on the map for you slow folk) 3 of the 4 potential #1 seeds are in relation to the remaining schools. I was simply referencing that 3 (possible) 1 seeds are in the same geographic area (decidedly North and West) which has to make scheduling playoff games and trying to account for the 500 mile mark, so as to avoid airfare, a nightmare. I get that they select the #1's and build around them (I have actually been following DIII for a while now). I was using the E/W/N/S regions (from the Regional Rankings) and essentially asking "how do they decide who goes where"? For example: does UMHB or HSC (if in) go to the Tommies? Linfield? UWO? Do we get a bracket overloaded with Linfield/UWW/UMHB or Mount/UMHB/Wesley/HSC etc.. I have read here, and elsewhere on this site, in the past couple of years things like 'do you think Mount will go east' or 'why do they keep sending Mount east' or 'does Mount have to go east again' - and that wasn't met with disdain or the 'OMG do I have to explain this again'. However it is what I have come to expect from certain people on this board. Ask a question and you get the (in my best Thurston Howell III voice) 'oh, Lovey, why are these people so droll and inferior?'.  They are beneath people like us and should be flogged. I guess in future comments I will have to remember that some will jump to conclusions (the result of reading what they want to read instead of what was written) and spout off because it makes them feel good, instead of pulling their head out of their arse long enough to read the actual post and providing usable feedback.

I think Lowry will be the QB next year at Mount Union, unless they get a superstar frosh or transfer (not likely).  He has shown top notch quickness and speed in the playing time he has gotten.  He will have to work on his passing game, however, with strength training and LK tutoring him (I hope), he could be special.  At the moment he appears to shot put instead of pass the ball.  IMO he could be a Kevin Burke type.  Time will tell.

Guess head to head doesn't mean much...jc 6th and onu 7th...onu will move up to 5th in the north after jc plays mount tough on sat but still picks up the loss...puts onu on the bubble for a pool c bid...a chip shot FG vs bw looks mighty big now

Carroll wins, both Carroll and Mount are in.  Carroll loses, Mount is in, and no one else from the OAC makes it.  That's it, that's the list.

As a Mount fan, I'd take that playoff projection in a heartbeat.

Rest assured desertraider, there is hope as not all posters refuse to give people the benefit of the doubt.
As for your question on how all those teams from the West will be divided up, I've no idea but it sure creates great anticipation for Sunday. One thing is clear if the D3 projected bracket holds- Mt will be shipped East (there's 5 of those suckers in that region, 6 if you count Johns Hopkins from MD).  :)

No hate, just an honest, non-biased look at how this is going to go.  8-2 just ain't going to cut it.

No, I read exactly what was written.  Here's your direct quote:

Out of curiosity - how would 3 No. 1 seeds from the West region be divided up? I mean how would they decide who goes South/North since they are all North and West?

Sure, you understand what you thought you were saying, but a literal person who has not been following D3 for long doesn't get that.  That kind of lazy wording is precisely why we still have people asking if Mount will get shipped to the East, or which West team will be sent to the South

If there are three #1 seeds from the West region - which I think is highly possible - it's possible that they will be in a bracket exclusively dominated by teams from the South or the North...and it's probably more likely that the brackets will almost be totally scrambled when it comes to the region.  Everyone knows about the likelihood of  Texas sub-bracket and a West Coast pairing, but past that it's anybody's guess.

And Ex, your insistence (as well as some of your post buddies) on using the term "lazy" to decribe a person's post and the constant cutting and pasting of portions of a post are exactly what desertraider is referring to. We know you guys are smart and we know and I'm sure appreciate the knowledge you share about D3- but for cry eye can you just relax on the attacks?
You've seen plenty of posts from desertraider to know that he isn't ignorant to D3- so just give the benefit of the doubt.

I would like to compliment Hartwick on their actions following the recent end of game incident.  This is an example of how things should be done and another reason I love DIII football.
Although an unfortunate incident, it became a shining example of integrity and sportsmanship that is rarely seen at any level.
I hope other schools will take notice and follow their lead should it ever be necessary.
A negative incident was turned into a positive lesson.
Well done, and good luck this week.

Getting back to discussing actual OAC football, is any one going to the game tomorrow?
Sadly, I'll be 6 hours away :'(
I do have my "Mount Who?" shirt ready to go though! ;D

I want to go, just not sure if I can swing it yet. I want to see what JCU's D does against Taurice. They did a good job containing Moeglin from BW (76 passing, 51 rushing) but he didn't have the weapons around him that Scott does. I think Scott and Moeglin are very similar but when you add BJ, Nehmeth, Namdar, Hargrove and Kennedy to the mix it is a lot harder to zone in on Scott. I know JC has made strides and is playing very well right now which will provide a good test for the Mount D. Golphin has some good numbers but against the 3 best D's JC has faced (ONU, BW and Berg) he had a combined 18 carries and 76 yards. Not sure if he was injured or just not part of the game plan. As for Howell - he is legit and all Mount fans know that. The question is will the QB get the kind of time needed to get the ball to him.

BTW: No TV rebroadcast ??? Is the internet feed pay-to-view?

See I would not say that Wally, Waterboy, you, or PG "have not been following D3 for long". You all seem to have been following this site since around 2008 or before. Or did you mean that others, not the 4 that posted replies to my comment, may have not been following D3 for long? It's that lazy wording - confuses me.  ;D See most people who do not know, because they haven't been following D3 etc. would not comment at all. Just funny that the comments came from long-time regulars (like me) and not newbies.
