A great article just came out on Vince and Larry Kehres where amoung many interesting things and insight on the Mount Union football team the author Terry Pulto points out that on Mount's 2005 coaching staff there was Matt Cambell now coach of Iowa State, Jason Candle now coach of Toeledo,
Nick Sirianni, now the quarterbacks coach for the San Diego Chargers, andMatt Caponi who is currently defensive backs coach at the University of Arizona.

Add it up: Two Division I head coaches, one NFL assistant and one Division I assistant along with Vince head coach at UMU and QB coach Larry Kehers all from the same single Division III coaching staff in 2005.

That's one impressive coaching tree!

Reminds me of Hayden Fry's at Iowa. The other epic one was the NFL Films chronicle: Cleveland '95. I'm sure I don't need to remind you guys of all the talent that left town on that staff  :-X

I was having a pretty good week up to now.  You can get out.

The scores against Platteville and the first meeting with Oshkosh show me promise in picking Mount, they slowed UWWS offense down and held them to low scoring outputs. If we limit UWW on big plays and Scott and Namdar have big days then I gotta go with Mount 42-21..

Surely the UWW/UWO game from last week is more indicative than any game from October is. The margin of the two Oshkosh games were similar but the style of the game was significantly different. The guy who is UWW's No. 1 receiver now had just two catches vs. Platteville.

Wow! I like the prediction and the optimism..but am a little less optomistic Mount 31 UWW 28 (even though I took Mount by 10 in pick-ems).

Wow...that's a lot of optimism, new guy.

UWW 24, Mount 28

Or the exact same score flipped the other way...but I'm an OAC guy, so I'll stick with it.

I'm going with UMU by 10--guessing somewhere in the 31-21 range.

It all comes down to turnovers, I think but am not 100% sure that every time we have lost to UWW we also have lost the turnover battle. Last year it was 5 and I do believe they scored off of all the to's..

Just do not see the Raiders committing that many in this game. Last year
4 of the 5 were picks. In 2015, the Raiders have a total of 7 for 13 games.

All these games come down to turnovers, especially in MU's case.  UWW is built to beat MU (large D and O line) and MU can not afford to give them extra possessions. Also we need to consider the mental aspect of the game, UWW has beaten MU numerous times and they are in their head.  MU needs to get over the mental hurtle and make some big plays early in this game to build some confidence.
