Yes I have since 92 I've probably missed three games since then. I also follow other teams and watch their schedules and their scores each week. This defense is just not going to give up more than 24 pts and if they do I'll admit I was wrong and hats off to whitewater they are a great team and a great program and I have a lot of respect for them.

Last week was the number one offense in the country the number one quarterback in the country and our number one dB only played one quarter

I am just saying that Kevin Burke was one of the best QBs that we have had but he was basically ineffective when he played whitewater so now you throw in a different QB maybe it is just what we need or maybe it will be a disaster but I think the senior will step it up big time in his last game as a Raider

That's said every year you know and it's only been done twice. 1-1 in those games.

I am sure Purpled would disagree that I think this way, but I do see how Mount can win this game. 

1.  The D-line gets off early, and puts UWW in 3rd & 6/7, and the boys get loose.
2.  Taurice makes a play early, and gets his game on.
3.  Mount gets one of their "special teams" plays, and feeds the frenzy.

It's not that I don't think Mount can hang if it becomes a grind it out type game, but it would certainly favor UWW.  I do think our "less than secret weapon" is Nemeth.  He can hammer with the best of them, with a very good sidestep, make them miss once type move.

So it was back in maybe 2003 or 2004 (although I have a very sketchy memory).  BW's was near the mall, and Pat was in for the semi-final.  I think it might have been our first semi-final wing gathering.  And the rest...is wing history!

I don't know, Wheaton thought they had us in a good spot at 3rd and 24...only to have Jordan Ratliffe race off on a 53 yard run up the middle. 3rd and 6/7? UWW has never been too uncomfortable in situations like that!!

Friends, enjoy the wings, wish I could be there.  As for the game, I just think UWW is better and wins 35 - 24.  It should be a good one.

All these predictions and not one of you seems to be considering that this year Mount Union has something to prove (unlike all the other years).  A bunch of rookies in here I swear...

For all the concern about Taurice Scott, there's another starting quarterback in the game who's never led his team to to a semi-final or Stagg Bowl win.  Not knocking the guy - I thought he looked awfully poised in the quarterfinal - I'm just sayin'.

Abraham Lincoln to a couple of his generals who were somewhat less than eager to engage the enemy early in the Civil War:  "You are green, it is true; but they are green, also; you are all green alike."

In fairness, Lincoln's generals immediately let the Confederates rout them at Bull Run shortly after he said that, so maybe not the best analogy! 

Unrelated, but my favorite has always been when Lincoln wrote McClellan and said, "If you are not using the army, I should like to borrow it for a short while."

haha! The Civil War was a weird time! McClellan and Lincoln butted heads all the time. Like when Lincoln went to pay him a visit, and he was out. He came back, didn't acknowledge Lincoln (who was waiting for him), and then sent a servant to inform him that he was in bed for the night. If only good DIII players treated their coaches like that. Could you imagine?
