I think we can just let this whole "bad local townie student hoopie blue blood fan" conversation die.

EVERY team has "those fans".  I can remember first hearing the UWW student body who would yell "YOU F*#d UP...YOU F*#d UP" over and over when there was a penalty or turnover by Mount.  A take on their UWW cheer.  I just think it's part of the deal, and who cares?

Don't get me wrong, I think it's quite silly that grown men act that way, and they are their own worst enemy, but eh.

Yes let it die, if it was the guy I think it is, he has created heated arguments with other fans at games.  It is a shame, he is working with limited resources and appears to not know when is enough and will never let it die.
Obviously, he is way too invested in the Raiders, and I don't think he even graduated high school.  A real shame and loud vocal taunting seems to be his favorite thing to do. He is a brawl waiting to happen.  I talked to another fan who intends to turn in his name to the University.  Maybe they will ask him to cease and desist.
Outside the stadium he appears a laid back fella...but I have seen him in action too many times.

Not that Massey is the be all end all, but it is pretty damn good as far as computer rankings go. It has MU 34 UST 31 with 56% confidence for an MU win, 44% for a UST win obviously. For reference both UST and MU were at about 80% confidence for wins this past Saturday. Havent seen anything from Vegas yet.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Totally the way to go ... crash!!!

The first stop should be the Stone Station.  Bridgewater fanatics that kept coming back after they played the Stagg.  [Ignoring ThunderMom] the only D3 "mom" that surpasses me.

Introduce yourself to anyone tail-gaiting and you may find a friend for life.

The Stone Station people are still going? I remember hearing about them way back in the day (as you mention). There used to be a couple really active Bridgewater posters (kid, llama, olinemom (I think) ).

Hey, you retired!

Setting lines is Mr. Mom's job! ;D

Pat Coleman

Stone Station is kind of a year to year thing. Their group has lost some people and it's a tremendous amount of work on their part. They aren't going to be in Salem this year, unfortunately. :(

This was 3.5 this morning. 4.5 to Mount as of now.  As a Tommie fan it gives some comfort to know the odds makers think we have a shot!

As I was walking into the stadium several of the guys who wear the purple suits were behind me. One or two were particularly profane, using the F... word a lot, very loud, using it in conjunction with WWW. Then the S... word a lot, very loudly again in conjunction with WWW. I think I've seen every WWW vs MU game and the WWW fans have been nothing if not gracious and classy, like their players on the field have been and like their coaches. I could see a nice lady and her young daughter were walking near me and mom seemed chagrined for her daughter, so I turned to the purple suits and said , in my most menacing lawyer "TRY ME" voice to "watch your language." They shut up.  I don't think there another MU quarterback I would take to start the Stagg game over Scott, even The Great Number 7.

Drunk college kids are going to behave like drunk college kids.  I'm sure no one ever swears in Wisconsin...unless they run out of deep fried cheese and sausage.

Trying to decide if its worth coming to the stagg bowl by myself since my friends suck and don't want to go///////////////////////////////////

Worth going.  I've been to a bunch, I'm going for the first time since they've moved it to Friday (it's great to only be three hours away), and I'm not even a Mount fan.  I've met a handful of folks from this board over the years as well.

Stop by pretty much any tailgate, introduce yourself, and they'll likely take you in.

Purpled...I am a believer with what I saw last Saturday.  Now the men just need to finish the deal, and it will be a great way for these seniors to go out.

(Best Case Scenario)  Mount has the ball, a 10 point lead with 3 seconds left, and Scott fakes the kneel-down and throws a strike to Namdar for a TD!

Matt Campbell to name Tom Manning as OC at Iowa State (from footballscoop.com)

QuoteIowa State: Tom Manning will be the offensive coordinator at Iowa State, per source. Manning was Matt Campbell's offensive line coach at Toledo and followed him to Ames this month. He was announced yesterday as a finalist for FootballScoop's Offensive Line Coach of the Year award.

But Skunks, didn't you say that STT would win? :)
