From Footballscoop.com:

QuoteGeorgia Tech: Per source, Capital (D-III – OH) head coach Craig Candeto is resigning to become the assistant director of operations at Georgia Tech. Candeto is a former Navy quarterback, and fighter pilot who led the Capital program the last three seasons.

Really sucks for Capital. They were starting to resemble an actual team and did quite well this past year statistically speaking.

Very happy about the program being done with The Chosen One.

He lost me, and MANY football alums from my era(late 90s/early 2000s) when he refused to deviate from his spring practice plans to attend the dedication of a memorial on campus honoring a former Crusader football player from the late 90s/early 2000s who was KIA in Afghanistan. You don't think taking the team to an event of that magnitude would have been a great lesson for those guys? Let alone the only possible gesture from the head coach of the football team?

After that I was done with the football program until The Chosen One was gone.

Seems like an odd approach for a vet. Especially since his whole bio is about his Naval Academy days.

Can't decide if these boys have photographic memories or they fall on the autism spectrum somewhere...

Autistic?  Can't say, but I'm an engineer which brings an unhealthy amount OCD into the equation as well.  What does that make me besides a touch crazy?

Which probably explains why I had to leave town to find a woman naive enough to marry me.   All the ones that knew me for any length of time were smart enough to run!

Don't you mean "walk at a brisk pace"?

Look out Mount Union - the OAC might read this and get ideas:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/01/24/girls-basketball-team-gets-booted-from-league-for-being-too-good.html

I don't know. I mean, yes if Mount left, it would be an easier road to conference championships. But call it my competitive gene, I would also want to be the program that finally beat you guys, and from there, try to become the new conference powerhouse. Obviously, I can't speak for the entire OAC, or even the entire JCU fanbase, but the idea of the being that team seems a heck of a lot better than forcing Mount out...

#1 best team in the nation--all divisions considered (suck it up Ohio State).  I think it is great that so many D3 schools are on this list of best teams by state--Wesley, UMHB, Linfield, Rowan 8-), UWWW (third overall), Trinity (CT) North Central, Wartburg, Johns Hopkins, Ithaca, Christopher Newport and even Middlebury in VT and Salve Regina in RI (although I have to say that the last two are from pretty lame football states!

Didn't make it past the first page on this one.  Cool idea, probably really cool content.  A 50 page slide show format?  Ya lost me.  I am thankful that I know a little more about Henderson State (Arkansas) now.

Considering the strong Division II presence in Minnesota, that's not surprising.
