You are grabbing at straws, Pat. The only one stating and implying here is you. Let it go. Seriously. Just let it go.

not the greatest entrance to the boards I have seen, but welcome nonetheless!

The problem with any of the QB's is unless someone has seen them in JV games there just isn't much to go on as far as throwing the ball.  Even when they got in they were mainly handing it off and maybe throwing a couple short passes.  Lowry is definitely the best runner of them from what I've seen.  He reminded me of Bruney in that regard.

I wonder if LK has been/will be even more involved with the QB's this year.  If there was ever a season to tap into that mind this may be it.

New to the board, and very thankful this forum exists.  I've learned a lot about the various D3 conferences, and OAC in particular, just by reading all the comments.

There are a few additional incoming QBs who've enrolled and been participating in the summer workouts at Mount:

Jarrett VanHavel (@JVanHavel14)
Mason, MI

Jake Reid (@16reid16)

D'Angelo Fulford (@D12Angelo)

Dominic Davis

Peyakov and Lowry have done a tremendous job organizing and running the summer 7v7 workouts.  Nick, in particular, has spent a lot of time working with the incoming freshmen.  He's definitely stood out as a senior leader, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him start the year under center.

Of the incoming QBs, two from the midwest (Reid/VanHavel) have been the most impressive throwing live.  They appear to be two of the strongest arms, and have been the most accurate of the young QBs.  Fulford is a tremendous athlete, and might be the best runner in the group, along with VanHavel.  Reid is the most sound mechanically, and throws a great ball.  It will be interesting to see which youngster can pick up the offense quick enough to push Peyakov and Lowry in camp.

I knew there were some other talented freshmen joining this year. Thanks for adding them! From watching video, I think that all of the freshmen have the talent to play, but like you said they need to pick up the offense. I'm glad to hear your report of Peyakov and Lowry helping out the new players. That was my biggest concern for the summer because it's a large gap between high school and college ball, no matter the level/division.

Dr. Acula

If Peyakov was a seasoned senior I would say he'd almost certainly be the starter week 1 to lend stability.  However, with his relative lack of experience I almost wonder if it will hurt him that he's a senior?  If he's neck and neck with a younger guy will they opt for youth?  I believe both Berg and JCU faced something similar last year and both opted for the senior out of the gate FWIW.

Also, welcome kedts89!  +k to get you started.

Guilty.  I also use the same screen name for everything, apparently.

It's alright.  We like to have player's dads post on here.  Gives a different viewpoint on the boards.

Or you're the Head Coach of the KC Chiefs and you have too much time on your hands...

Trust me, if I'm ever in KC on business, we make sure the dinner reservation is in my name!

Glad you'll have me.  I've enjoyed reading the boards for a couple of years.  Being hours away, I'm glad to have the board as another source of info, especially on game days.

Looking at a bit of the QB highlights, (thanks for providing) a couple just threw it long and let folks go get it. Not that impressive.  Did not see the ability to scan the field and find secondary targets, etc.  I was more impressed by those throwing quickly into tight spots and staying on their receivers when scrambling.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Fun being over in a different board - I see some talk about MUC needed to add some spark to their offense...I think you will all be pleasantly surprised with the previously mentioned FDU transfer, Malik Presley. I realize the MAC is not the OAC, but he was the MAC offensive player of the year at WR. This isn't some HS kid....he's already performed well at this level.

Nice kid, too. I wish him the best. Good luck this year (like you need it ::) Raiders.

I saw he was an accounting major and knew he was a winner immediately.   ;D

All he does is catch touchdowns.
