I think desert raider's point is really one that Mount fans have to take into consideration whenever trying to decide "The Greatest of All Time" arguments.  The fact that most of the greats did not play full games most definitely made some impact of their final numbers.  For my money, with a bow to Kmic and his numbers, I like Moore as the greatest ever.  It just comes down to your personal biases and thoughts.
Speaking of getting a look, Moore did get a tryout day with the Steelers.

Great point about the bias. I saw them both play, and Pugh as well. All were absolute BEASTS. But for me it comes down to Kmic's ability to not only spin off first and second contact but to dish out punishment. Not saying Moore and Pugh couldn't/didn't do that - but Kmic was the one that just amazed me. The double spin against ONU (see YouTube) is a great example. I look at this as being similar to Shorts v. Garcon. I will take PG every day. Cecil was great but PG was just so physical with the ball and without. Again - can't go wrong with any of these guys. If I am starting a team and can only have one of these RB or WRs - any of them would be aces.

It's really splitting hairs with those RB's.  I saw all three play and I'd break it down like this.  As far as running the football, Kmic was the best of the three IMO.  He was simply amazing.  Moore was the most complete football player IMO.  He added around 30 yds receiving per game because he was a good pass catcher.  He was also the best kick returner in school history.  Pugh was like Moore.  He could do it all too.  I just think Moore was just a fraction better.

Tom Lally interviewed on Carolina Panther website. They have a daily report, and mentioned that he was signed after a D-lineman was waived due to injury.  He did participate in their rookie minicamp.  Hope he gets to play tomorrow in preseason game versus Baltimore.

I went over and watched the new Mount QB's throw the ball in game type situations today. There are two sophomores, a freshman, and a senior. All looked good. The one sophomore appeared to be a better dual threat than the others. The senior looked very sharp and confident throwing the ball. The freshman looked very good. It is a very close competition and all are
still in the mix to start, according to a very knowledgeable source. Very good group of receivers. I used to play DB and I thought to myself how nearly impossible it would be to cover the routes they were practicing. The ball is out so fast, the routes so quick, the receivers have the ball within two seconds, and they are big, fast guys. Nightmare.

If he does (and he probably will) look for him in the late third or even fourth quarter, as the starters will most likely go the first quarter to quarter-and-a-half.

purple,

Regarding the QB's, my take would be that the senior gets the nod to start the W & J scrimmage and Game 1. After that one of the other guys could emerge assuming enough PT. :-\

As young as the overall team will be, if the QB's are similar in talent and leadership, I'd go with the young guy.   Might as well have the benefit of a multi year starter in the future

^^^ Yup.  I'd think Peyakov is almost at a disadvantage.  He has to clearly win the job otherwise I agree with you HScoach...it's a youth movement.  I'm guessing based on purple's description that the dual threat soph is Lowry.  I'm guessing the other two right now are Klaver and Poorman.

I don't see Josh Stewart listed on the roster currently.  Wonder what the story is there?  I expected he was going to play quite a bit at LB/S.  I also don't see Berry Grant (DL) or Nic Padric (OL) who were backup linemen last year.

I don't see Skylar Scott listed either. Didn't someone say he was a TE this year?

Yes, he was listed on there at TE earlier.  I suppose we shouldn't really pay either the freshmen or varsity roster much mind until camp ends and they're a little bit more stable.  I'm sure as in past years there will be a fair amount of attrition between now and week 1.

Today is pretty much the only day I actually want to just eat lunch at my desk.  A full hour to comb through Kickoff.  As always, it's well worth the $ this year.

I was surprised to see four NCAC teams ranked lower than the lowest OAC team.  Gheny, Kenyon, Oberlin and Wooster were all ranked below Wilm.  What the heck is up with Wooster?  Not that they were great before, but worse than Wilm and Etta?

Yes, but they will have jobs when they graduate due to the academic superiority of the NCAC schools ;D (thought I would add that since it is bound to come up).

This was an interesting discussion this year, where to put Wilmington, since they did win a game last year.
