Dr. Acula

It was a rough weekend for wins and losses, but what did we expect?  Almost every OAC team was an underdog.  I actually thought Berg, Ott, Musky and Etta played better than I was expecting given their respective opponents.

Wilm being down 35-7 at half to Bluffton is awful, but when dealing with Wilm we're kind of splitting hairs when it comes to how bad they're going to be.

JCU and Cap were over matched by clearly better teams.  JCU obviously being the more disappointing one for us since they should be in the hunt for 2nd place and Saturday they clearly didn't look like a strong contender.  I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that their freshman QB will be much improved by the final week of the season when Mount sees them.

Anybody have any inside info on starting qb for mount. I don't wanna wait till Saturday to find out??

My "GUESS" is that Peyakov get's the start. Then a rotation of Lowry and Poorman

I think Poorman will get the start with Peyakov, Fulford and Dominic Davis as backups.  I don't think we'll see Lowry or Klaver in the rotation.

I'm calling Poorman.

In the past, the coaching staff has usually deferred to the Senior at first.  Might be different with VK at the helm.

I think its Peyakov getting the nod as the Senior. Unless Rocky Pentello has another year and transferred.  ??? ;D

I think it's Poorman.  If LK was still HC I'd say Peyakov.  I think VK is a little bit more aggressive though.

I saw that Cecil signed with Tampa Bay. I was hoping for a Raider to be in a Bucs uniform - but I thought it would be Roman. Oh well - congrats to Cecil. Now - STAY HEALTHY!!

Dr. Acula,

Agree, but it was Coach L. Kehres who went to Florida to recruit him! :)

No idea who they'll pick,  but I'd skip over Peyakov and go with one of the young guys.   Unless he's clearly better, which obviously he's not or the job would have been his long ago, it's better in the long run to go young at QB.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I disagree  that LK would start the senior. I agree with HSCoach that LK would start the freshman with the most upside. From what I have seen in practice that would be Fulford. He has more speed than all the other QBs, and a better arm. Lk is not the head coach ,however ,and I don't know about VK and his feeling about seniors. My call is one of the freshman and I think the better of the two right now ,in terms of sheer athletic ability, and upside, is Fulford. Mount fans are going to see some young guys break some big plays. There a few that are as quick and slippery as greased pigs. I also predict there will be at least one punt returned for a TD, maybe two.

I think Mount will start the QB they think can take them all the way. If its Poorman, Peyakov , Fulford or a 6'4 300LB O-lineman. If VK thinks that will get back to Salem then that is who will start.
Roll Raiders~Roll!! Can't wait til Saturday.
