Maybe "preferred" wasn't the right choice of words.  I "prefer" Constantinople to Istanbul (the former just sounds cooler), but alas, one is correct and one is not.  I think a six year grace period is plenty for people to have made the transition from Mount Union College to University of Mount Union.

No it isn't. I still have my Mount Union College key fob, issued with my building keys in 2001, on my key chain and my original MUC Purple Plus card issued the same year.

This is getting complicated.  You guys that go way back and were students at Mount Union College are fine.  Literally grandfathered in.   :)  The rest of us can be bothered to respect the current nomenclature.

I actually never attended Mount. I went to Hiram and UAkron. However, I would like Mount to start a "alumni adoption program". Not satisfied with your Alma Mater? Get adopted by the Mount Union Alumni Association!

The Advancement office at Mount would be glad to take your money in exchange for you in be in the adopted Alumni Association!

Bandwagon dudes

After 20+ years....hard to agree with that one. I saw Mount first time in 1993. I was a student at Hiram and went to watch them at the urging of a friend who played for the Terriers. I was blown away. Been a fan ever since. Moves to Florida, Memphis, overseas, Chicago...followed Mount all the way. Oh and I taught there for 10+ years, so got that going for me. Bandwagon is the guy that never talked about football, never watched it, suddenly appearing in a Seahawks jersey with Seahawk eye black tape after they won their first Superbowl and swears he "has always been a fan".....I know that guy. Idiot.

I missed the Capital coaching change.  What happened to the Naval Academy guy that was coaching them?

I heard he left under "less than honorable" (not dishonorable mind you) conditions - but couldn't find anything on it. Not saying he did anything illegal or immoral but it appears he pissed off some boosters/alums. If anybody knows more - do tell.

All I can find on Candeto (CAP) is that he left Capital and is now at Georgia Tech. Wish him the best - was a Navy guy, good QB, and even though Cap didn't win much he definitely had an impact with the triple option (gave Mount fits in the first half last year).

An unintended benefit of his departure is Wibbeler transferring down the street from Ohio Dominican to play QB.  He's a pretty nice player.  Not so much in an option offense though.

Monday mornin' feels so bad
Ev'rybody seems to nag me
Comin' Tuesday I feel better
Even my old man looks good
Wed'sday just don't go
Thursday goes too slow
I've got Friday on my mind

And Friday means your weekly reminder to get your OAC Pick-Em selections in.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Credit where credit is due: The Capital video feed is good. But the pregame show is great. I would love to see Mount do something like this and do it for FREE! Kids on the Capital Sports Network are doing a great job. Kudos.

Looking at the stats.  Cap is tops in the conference in passing yds/gm and yds/completion.  This will be good for the Mount secondary to see a team that can throw a little.
