The Qb drama will play its way out. They all can do the job, Peyakoff included. Im more interested in the runningback situation. Its a shame to make anyone of them watch.

Is it possible they are saving him for the 2nd season, ie November and December, while getting the youngsters reps for '17??

Where is Skunkssidekick when you need him???  PM me sir, if you're out there.  I know you got the 411 here.

He needs to work on ball security (but the fumble on the edge rush - dude he got hammered before he even finished his drop) but I like what I saw.

Weird.  Usually out of the 180 jerseys issued for games, the Mount Union starting QB's jersey comes out cleaner than anyone else's postgame.

180 issued jerseys! Imagine! Which brings me to this now  Ive seen it all moment, in all my years following football at all levels Ive seen a penalty for two players wearing the same number on the field simultaneously called exactly twice. Both times on Mount! How many times has this penalty ever even been called? I bet its rare. About as rare as having 180 players to dress 😆

No offense but Mount plays exactly ZERO games on natural grass SO all of the jerseys are clean! It isn't a product of protection - it's a product of technology.  8-)

I wondered the same thing. I remember the 1st was in VKs 1st year and the board was wondering how VK could let that happen, get organized, yada yada. It can't be a common occurrence. I know Mount has multiple players in the same # on the sidelines. The Cap crew calling the game kept referring to Jawanza Evans-Morris (I think it was him) as a defensive back  "taking a shot at running back this week". Has to play heck on the special teams coach ("Make sure we only have 1 of each number on field").

Didn't this nearly cost Mount a game vs. Franklin a few years ago?  Took a TD off the board because they had two #2's on the field at once, in a game where Franklin made a furious late rally...
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Yes.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

My wife says to use Roman numerals for the duplicated number, if that doesnt work then she suggests using a different font.  ;D  Roman number II lined up in the neutral zone, that penalty is declined, however.... holding on New Times Roman number 2 will be accepted.

The thought does appeal to me. However some of my observations would never make it over a radio! :o Why can't I say "Come on Ref! If you can't see a players earholes because they are covered by his jersey.....THATS HOLDING!" or  "Those guys couldn't find the end zone with GPS AND a federal search warrant!" Why???   WHY???

True story, I once got into the press box at Columbus Crew stadium during a soccer match as a guest of a former Crew player that went into broadcasting. They had a food spread for the reporters that resembled Thanksgiving Dinner. I had NO IDEA!  Ever since thenI have wanted a job like that. Its probably not like that in a D3 press box though. ;D  Although I did once hear Joe Tait say on mike....."Pizzas here! Thank you dear....."so I know they feed ya something.

I can't believe HSCOACH gave up a gig like that.

^ the pizza at Mount was crap.   However quality wasn't much of an issue for Joe, he was more focused on volume.   The only thing worth eating at Mount was the few occasions they had deli wraps, otherwise it was lunch before I went to the stadium.

The best OAC pressbox food was Otterbein.   They at least bought really good pizza, though not much of it.

The best pressbox food I've experienced was actually during Marlington's playoff drubbing by Buchtel in the state semi's at Fawcett.   That could have doubled as dinner.

I concur.  The pizza at Mount was not good.  Tomato paste-y.  Of course it could be that my whole experience was bad after tripping over Ric's step stool.  :)

Don't know about the press box pizza at Mount (I hear it is made by a JCU guy  8-))- but the pregame brunch is AWESOME. Actually, I love the dining hall food at Mount. Beats the crap outta what they served at Hiram.
