I like the away look with purple pants and white jerseys...

I never thought I would ever see the day when Baldwin Wallace was getting points versus Otterbein...

Am I the only one who has trouble scrolling through the game scores on the main page? Instead of scrolling with an upward or downward finger swipe the whole page moves with the swiping motion. What is the fix? Ive tried expanding the screen until only the scores are in view but that doesnt wirk either. Is it just an iphone thing or do other devices do it too?

Wilmington.

For the Traditionalists, Mount Union will be wearing Purple/Purple/Purple Saturday:

Not so fast there my friend. What's with the black side panels.....not traditional! But still the best uni! Embrace the Purple - Roll Raiders~Roll!

When you combine those with Wilmington's key lime pie helmets, it's going to look like the Joker is attacking Alliance haha! ;D

Haha +k.  Very true. And for the record I hate all purple.  I feel old, but evidently not old enough to like that look.

So I am old? Been called a lot of things but this one stings... 8-)

Davis looked good again today.  9-13, 204 yds, 3 TD.  Poorman in now and leads a TD drive.

Yes. The spread was 65.5 and I took Mount. So there is 2 points I won't get.  :'(

BUT...Breaking News....The Top 25 round up has Mount winning 71-0. So I should get those points....I mean D3football.com is the authority on D3 football so if they say it is 71-0 then it is. Oh - Pat, just letting you know the score is listed as 71-0.

Spurrier

Polar bear defense gives up only three points today...team has steadily improved....see them winning out...
Why the defense ain't werkin'?

So, I saw the weather report for the WIL-UMU game and thought, "I should really change my pick".  Well, we had a power failure in Manassas, VA and I couldn't and it cost me a chance to win my first (only) week of the season.  [whiner!]

So, your humble leader shares second place at 10 points with bashbrother, HSCTiger74, reality check, and wesleydadPurple aces all five OAC games [and not much else] to take Week 8 honors with 11.

And for the second week in a row, we have a new leader.  Congratulations to bashbrother for eking out a one-point lead over last week's chief, HAL, aka HansenRatings.

Week #9 spreads will come out Monday night.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Dr. Acula,

Agree in part, a fumble  (resulting in a TD for Wilmington) and almost a pick did not help.  Also, so many receivers open and could not find them. IMHO, I am not sure why Poorman is now a back-up, since he was very good against the Berg.? :-\

I feel Davis is solidifying his spot as the #1 QB.  He appears to throw a better ball than either Poorman or Fulford.  Fulford may not see the field again this season.  I don't have any inside info, but the first report of a broken collarbone, if true would pt him against the end of the regular season.
Davis made three or four amazing plays today. His ability to escape the rush and find receivers is very good for a frosh, and his deep throws are on the money and strong.
Defense is improving,  but hard to tell today against Wilmington.
I have so much respect for these Wilmington kids.  They continue to get pounded, yet get up and play on.  Their #20 had a very good game on D.
Also want to compliment VK for kicking 2 or 3 fg's on 1st down, and taking a knee on the last 8 offensive plays.

I've said before that I like all of the freshmen that have played so far, but I do think that Davis throws the better deep ball and can stretch the defense more, which in turn will help our run game immensely. I'm looking forward to seeing him play against Otterbein and Muskingum before JCU. I think John Carroll is quietly improving as well. They made Capital look bad this week and I think could give Mount Union all they want and more. Both teams have been improving with young guys since week 1.

I hope all the QB's do well. I just don't know why Poorman was moved downward  after a good Heidelberg game. Davis does
throw a good deep ball, but he could not find many open receivers on Saturday ( I saw the game). The key is having a few guys ready over the remaining games.  JCU is getting better, I agree  so Nov. 12th will be a good one. :)
