First and last time post so I hope I did this correctly LOL

Hey all...its been really fun reading all your posts and the insights and the history. I'm trying to learn as much about D3 football as possible and you all know yer stuff!

I did want to put to rest a question some of you have been battering around...Luke Poorman's shoulder. He's ready to play. He started and played the first half of the recent Jireh Prep JC game to get some reps :) (they had some pretty solid talent)

In the Jireh Prep game he was 16 for 20 for 320 YDS and 3 TDs & Rushed for 40 YDS and 1 TD...all in the FIRST HALF. So...he's ready if VK needs him.

Luke is the oldest of our 4 boys :-)

If it is one of Luke's parental units....welcome aboard and thanks for the update. However, if it is say Luke or a "friend" of Luke...thanks for the update, now go study your playbook! ;D

Do any of your other sons play? We would love for them to stop by admissions at Hobart when it's time ;D

Warning...Tongue-in-cheek below!!!

I can picture Saturday going like this for two elderly loyal Mount Union fans in Alliance:

A white Cadillac (Ohio plates: LK4PREZ) pulls into the parking lot, and finds a first-row spot just outside of Mount Union Stadium. "First row...we got lucky today!", the driver mumbles to his friend. The two old timers then simultaneously open their door and very gingerly get out, both sporting their faded 1960's Purple Raiders jacket. A tradition they started wearing back when Mount won their first Stagg Bowl in 1993. Totally oblivious to their surroundings, they very deliberately begin making their way to the stadium's entrance. As they make the short trek their debate rages on (which started 30 miles back just outside of Akron) about who was the better Raider: Chuck Moore or Dan Pugh. As they approach the gate, to no one in particular without breaking stride, they instinctively each flash their Purple Raiders Athletic Events Patron pass, which is about as routine to them as tying one's shoe. Then the two 1965 alums begin their ascend up the bleachers...eventually making their way to their lucky playoff seats. The same seats they've occupied every November for the past 23 years. Finally, as they get settled in, and mutually agree that Nate Kmic was better than both Moore and Pugh, one takes a curious look around and says to the other "Hmmmm....small crowd today".

I kid because I love  :P Good luck to you Mount fans.

That's funny. A few corrections. 1) They would be discussing Russ Kring vs. Moore vs. Pugh before deciding on that "young 'un" Kmic. 2) The license plate would say "LKRULES". 3) The jacket would be the 1960 Mount Union College but have all of the Championship patches stitched on the back (saw that one at the UWW playoff game last year). You also left out the thermos of tea and 2 cups ("cheers Martha"! "cheers Harry"!)

Oh - and the "lucky playoff seats" don't exist. They have been sitting in the same ones since 1994. Getting a seat on the home side during playoffs is almost impossible because of them!

Same seats since 1994?  These guys are in the "Johnny come lately" category.
12-0 = 13

No problem, I am sure we can work something out....we love players from Florida like current Tampa Bay Bucs and Hobart  alum Ali Marpet...we can send him over for a visit....we can even get Brandon Shed 's ( West Palm ) little brother to catch some of the younger Poorman's passes when he gets here😀
Seriously, Good luck to your son tomorrow in Geneva

And we will counter the visit with current Redskin and Mount alum Pierre Garcon, current Buc and Mount alum Cecil Shorts III, and LK or VK with rings on every finger....and 2 toes! ;D ;D

Despite the 2-deep that was posted and linked I do not see Jordan Hargrove on the travel roster. Mount is taking 3 QBs: Davis, Fulford and Poorman. They are also taking: Ruth, Kennedy, Friss, Hill, Haynes and Herrington.

On the RBs I see: BJ, Evans-Morris, Aaron and Nero (may be others but those were the ones I was looking for).

I wonder if Hargrove is injured or if he just hasn't played in so long that it was seen as a chemistry issue since Hill and Haynes have had more work with Davis.

With Mount losing last week, the real question is if we'll get to see some of the old school "you haven't seen a ........ like ours" lines.

time marches on, and still no "you haven't seen a ........ like ours" lines from Hobart (or MUC for that matter ;). Hobart did see MUC and Kmic in 2008. Quite a sane buildup.

Unfortunately, I can't find a interesting recent post, I paraphrased as "In SB '15, BJ changed up with something like plant and GO" with positive results.

I didn't see the game, would like to see altBJ going forward.

Desert,
I'm not familiar with a 'travel roster'. That said, after several games had gone by the board, I start a spreadsheet to track 2-deeps (from game previews)> Hargrove does appear in 'my' 2-deep for the Hobart game.

I wonder if there are limits (or not) on changing 2-deeps? Probably not, just the dynamics of evaluating personnel needs as time goes by. Interesting observation.
I'd lke to compare the 'preview' 2-deep vs the travel roster.

Hobart could've said, "Hey Mount Union, you haven't seen the visitor locker room in the 1st Round like ours!"
