This Hobart announcer is atrocious!

QuoteHe's short of the marker on 3rd down.
Reality: As his monotone color guy pointed out, the linesman was marking it a full yd past the 1st down marker.

QuoteHe gest stuffed on first down, maybe got a couple yards.
Reality: Mount RB gained 4 yds to set up 2nd and 6

QuoteI don't think any Hobart players made contact in the neutral zone
Reality: The flag was for a false start by the Mount WR, who obviously jumped.

QuoteHobart almost had them stopped on the 3rd down screen.
Reality: They gave up a 3rd and 15 in an obvious screen situation and then gave up a 50 yd TD. Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

QuoteHobart corner comes up and puts a lick on him.
Reality: Mount RB put a nasty stiff arm on the guy in the flat, knocked him down and fell forward for another 3 yds.

The guy is articulate and has a good rhythm, but he's a brutal homer and seems to be watching a different game.

Hmmm, that descriptions sounds a lot like Ric.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Olivet's punter is far and away the best player on the team.  He's legit.

Dr. Acula

How does that happen?!  4th and 12 and the guy is wide open.  Baaaaad.

Et tu, Brute?   ;)
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Hey,  at least I as the color guy I had a touch more energy than the Hobart guy.   Got to wonder if he's breathing.

There's a color guy???

13-6 JCU.  Olivet went for two for reasons known to absolutely no one.

Also, there is someone in the press box clapping every time Olivet makes a good play.  Rule #1 in the press box is no clapping in the press box.  It interferes with broadcasts and it's about as bush league as it gets.

19-6 JCU, another XP blocked.  Really time to start think about just going for 2.

Can't someone block that guy?

Mount is completely devoid of difference makers on D.  They just can't make a big play on 3rd or 4th down to get off the field.  They had them punting, but a bonehead offsides gave Hobart another crack at 3rd down (which of course they converted easily and eventually scored on the drive).

Olivet now has 11 blocked XP/FG on the season, it's a strength.  JCU's kicking game is sub par at best.  Given that odds typically are right around 50/50 on a two point conversion, I feel like you might as well try to get the two.

The offense only slightly better.   A bunch of solid receivers and O-line, but no one to be The Man.

Eddie Williamson returns a punt 63 yards for the TD.  Unsportsmanlike conduct forces a two point conversion.  Eddie Williamson caught the ball in the end zone for a two point conversion, but officials ruled it incomplete for inexplicable reasons.  25-6.

HScoach

Did you know a 10 yard penalty from the 23 would put the ball at the 13?
