Know that we are officially in the off season with both John Carroll and Mount Union done playing. Does anyone know where Baldwin Wallace is in their search for a new head coach???

Is there any word out of Wilmington about their coaching search? I wonder if there's anyone out there who's willing and capable of turning around that program, similar to what Mike Hallett was able to do at Heidelberg. When Stacey Hairston came in I honestly thought he would more successful than he ended up being.

No, no Sir, that is not the reality.  You do UW-Osh and UMHB a great dis-service by saying/promoting that.  I assume you jest.

Thank you FD3DB.  I'm still working hard to see what is the best D3 has to offer.  OAC had a great show this year, but it ain't over.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

IMO, Davis played great up until this past Weekend.  As a True Freshman (18 or 19 years old) leading the Defending National Champions to the Semifinals I think he played above expectations.

Hard to see how many open receivers there were based on Camera Angles during the game (as they usually focus on who has the ball), but I did see Kennedy on a deep drag, coming across the field, wide open on one of the plays Davis was scrambling to his right.  Davis ended up throwing the ball out of bounds.  I suspect that the pressure from UMHB front 4, and the dropping of 7 in coverage made it more difficult for him to find his receivers.  Also the pressure of playing in such a close game, on the road, with the weight of the program on his shoulders.

Again I think this team overachieved this year and I am very happily surprised on how well the Defense played this weekend, after giving up so many yards/points in the other playoff games.

Good looks for the future of UMU.
inwould also say not to forget the team speed of UMHB. Davis threw one pass to a "wide open" receiver and Hickey turned on the jets and picked of the pass. the receiver had several steps on him. I've watched all year as "open" receivers failed to be open when the down field pass got there

Great point.  There was a significant speed/quickness difference on both sides of the ball.  Mitchell stood out as the one Mount player that could match that speed and quickness.  I think in some cases MHB was probably  baiting Mount's freshman QB to throw to "open" receivers.   Mount's defensive effort is even more commendable given the speed of the team they were facing.   I also thought that for the most of the game MHB played too conservative on offense.  They had the athletes to make plays like the tipped ball in the end zone (not a fluke play in my opinion) and to get speedsters out in space, but didn't do that for most of the game.  Maybe the Mount defense just frustrated them.    If they play conservative on Friday, they'll help Oshkosh.

A little late, but a huge congrats to the Purple Raiders on a tremendous year. I won't repeat what has already been said by Dr Acula, HSCoach, DesertRaider and others. They all pretty well summed it up. This is my alma mater and I am extremely proud of what they accomplished this year.
To put this and recent years into perspective, let me wax nostalgic, walk down memory lane and other stupid clichés which all mean the same dumb thing!
I graduated in 1957 (hence the 57 in MUC57, showing that I'm really old). The 4 years I was here, they won a total of 10 games, 5, 2, 2 and 1. With the exception of this past season, that's a regular season. If you throw in the prior 2 years, the 6 year total is an amazing 14 wins. Remember, they won 15 games last year. So those of us that have been around awhile, are enjoying the heck (didn't want to say hell) out of these guys.
Our records are still intact. 12 national championships, 55 consecutive wins, 22 straight trips to the semifinals, etc., etc., etc. Those can never be taken away.
Bottom line, I'm very proud to be a Purple Raider. They will always be champions to me!
Can't wait until next year. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Some of my favs over the years were: "he was supposed to of...", the Your vs You're and off course the lesser discussed but equally violated "Their, there and they're", and my biggest pet peeve - "at 6:30 AM in the morning"! Had students write reaction papers to man-made disasters. Oy - filled with "they evacuated by 6:30AM in the morning...." Argh! I had a Prof in grad school that really laid into a student for continually using "I feel.." - she said "If I wanted to know how you feel I will either touch you or bring tissues for a heart to heart - tell me what you know!".

I think the difference is that there is an appetite for NFL football and not so much for NFL Europe football- which was basically a second or third rate impersonation of the NFL.  Liverpool FC touring the States in the summer is a must-watch big deal (for US soccer fans) in a way that, say, Norwich City touring the States just wouldn't be.

Sending the Browns to play at Wembley though is a thing that could damage relations with England and probably ought to be reconsidered.

I don't think there is a market in Europe for the NFL, but there might be enough of a market in London to establish a team. Whether it is worth the hassle is another question. I think, at the moment, the NFL is mostly doing education. Football is not an easy game to understand if you weren't raised with it. The platoon style is very different from any other major sport played globally. The minutia and breadth of the rule book is simply astounding. So you can't just open up a franchise in Europe, or a league as was tried, and expect it to succeed. You have to actually introduce the game. The seemingly ever-increasing number of London games is designed to do that by not just pulling in one set of fans, but testing to see if there are enough fans to support a season's worth of games. The NFL is closely tracking not just tickets sold, but WHO is buying the tickets. If the same 60K buy the tickets, it's no good. But if there are 180K different buyers for 4 games, and only 60K repeats, that starts to look better.

one should never misuse the dominatrix, or one might experience domination.
