Matt was asked how his team could pull this off with a two-way player and a third-string quarterback.  He replied, "I don't think he's the third-string anymore."   :D

IMHO Poorman is the most  likely to transfer of the Mount QBs. Fulford and Davis are very similar and the offense seems to be set-up for their skill set. Poorman is a solid QB but is limted in terms of mobility. Plus - the past few weeks he is #2 on the 2 deep and its the Sr. transfer that gets the spell time first off the bench or hen Fulford loses his helmet. Poorman has to be a tad frustrated in his lack of PT. But - Fulford is as good a passer, better deep and adds his ability to run. No brainer and no problem with QB chart.

Poorman heard you said this so he had runs of 25 and 24 yards today.   ;D

He's definitely the least mobile of the three, but he's not immobile at all.  The other two are just better runners although I think he's not far behind Davis.  Whoever said Poorman reminded them of Seaman I agree with them.  That was who I thought of too.  I think he's probably better than Neal, but that's who he reminded me of.  Mobile enough to be a pain, very accurate, good decisions, but not a huge arm.

Last I saw on the Iowa State game OK was at the 20 and down 7 (Ithink it was 7) in the 4th qtr. Big win for ISU - BIG win for Matt Campbell. Kudos!

In other news.....Holy H@!! - Poorman can run. Was surprised. Berg was overwhelmed all day. Couldn't run, couldn't throw - couldn't keep up on D. Has to be frustrating to come in with that much confidence (I read the Around the Region piece) and then get punched in the gut for 4 qtrs. Solid game for Mount. The O had over 430 yards at half and almost hit 700 for the game. Fulford was a nic e 17-24 and had 4 tds. I was a bit disappointed in the run game - sorry but even roses have thorns. Thought JEM and/or Petro would hit 100 - granted they only had 11 and 12 touches respectivley. Good win.

Berg has a good team and they play the game hard, but team speed is hard to over come.  UMU has superior team speed on both sides of the ball which is hard to overcome.

I'm still hoping you gyuys make the playoffs. As hard as Berg played this year it would be rewarding news if they made the playoffs. The extra practices and games that go with that are valuable for next year.

I know that UMU goes into every game confident though I do think they wanted to try to take Berg out of the game and avoid Berg and the crowd from building too much confidence by putting the foot to the floor.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Anyone questioning why Fulford is the QB should go back and look at his 2nd half throw to Hill last week against ONU.  Probably 40 yards in the air, perfectly on the money.   Couple that with his ability to run and that's why he's  the starter.  The decisions can be taught.  The arm and wheels can't be taught.

Was Poorman the qb that LK Flew to Florida to see in person? I remember hearing a lot of hype about a certain Florida Qb prospect and thought it was Poorman.

Yes and it's common knowledge that LK hates to fly.

I kind of think that as soon as y'all attached that particular piece of lore to that kid's bio, he was never going to meet expectation.  Really unfair to him, iyam.

And that's not including the fact that he enrolled early which was a big deal at the time. Poor kid never stood a chance.

And get this ... the third-string QB who led the win is from Massillon, OH.   :o

Or look at the TD he threw to Hill just before half today. 3 Bergies in the corner of the endzone, on the run. I want to see the higlights when they are posted.
