Wow.  You either have a great memory or way too much time on your hands to go find that nugget.

Good memory though.  Pam Ward is horrible

As an old man my long term memory is often good, but short term memory not so, especially when it comes to forgetting where I left simple things like car keys or glasses.

I remembered the Pam Ward thing and 5-2-5. A quick search of 5-2-5 on the boards archive yield my finding of HScoach 2008 post which made me chuckle knowing the wit HScoach has demonstrated over the years with his posts.

Pam Ward and HScoach will forever share a place in the deep archives of the Internet. Maybe that makes HScoach a celebrity.  I know Pam isn't.

^ Ha.  I've obviously peaked.

You are correct! Wow - I am renaming the award: The Captain Coleman Award! ;D

In other news - if the weather holds this weekend will show me more of Fulford and Mount's run game than Berg (dangerously close to being renamed "Heidi"), The Polar Cubs, Wilma or any of the previous Mount foes. Cold, wet, rainy and a Mount QB that has shown one weakness - ball security. I wanna see him throw in bad weather.

Good thinking. Can he hold onto the ball? Could be a good test. We'll see tomorrow, if the weather forecasts hold up!

I think the weather may be more of a challenge than the Cardinals but we will see. All I know is its easier to throw a dry ball on a perfect day. With a high of 55 and 100% rain the QB, WR, RB all get that added challenge of ball security. Granted the Ott has to deal with it too. Should be fun. ;D

With all the talk about Matt Campbell being a hot name for upcoming vacancies, I cannot believe he would even consider leaving Iowa State right now. He has the rebuild in full go and the program is turning the corner.  I believe he is a Kehres-type loyalty guy and will see his mission through. I see Iowa State offering a major contract extension and double dollars to the 2 million his is making.
Jason Candle has continued the Toledo train and could be worth a look from bigger D1 programs, not named Tennessee or Nebraska.

Desertraider

On Campbell...IDK. I mean he is a loyalty guy - but he is a family first guy. Ames has been a great showcase for his abilities but if he has an opportunity - bigger OR smaller and he feels it is in the best interest of his family, he would go. D1 coaches have unbelieveable stress on them and their families. I don't know anything (I am Sgt. Schultz "I know nothing!") just saying that a few years of high stress can take a toll. Iowa State doesn't have the same pressure as say a Nebraska (who will be looking at Campbell before the ink is dry on the letter of termination for their coach) so maybe it is that perfect environment - big enough to get attention and all that, small enough to limit the stress - and he stays a while. BUt still he stepped into a down program that wanted a turn around and wins so the stress isn't non-existent.

On Candle - Toledo better be looking at their budget and saving pennies. He is good as gone at this point. We have talked on here about MAC coaches stepping up (Fleck, Kelly, Campbell, Meyer) well Candle is next. And Toledo knows they can't match the offer he will get - that isn't rain coming in from the West of Cleveland, it's Rocket Tears. ;D

In Mount Union alum news. Congrats to Zac Bruney:

On a down note - tough season for Jason Hall's Westlake Deamons. Second round of State Playoffs last year, hammered last night 41-0 and finished 0-10. Ouch.

Mount Union Interception on third play return to OTT 12

Fulford to Moxie on first play for a TD.

EDIT:
OTT goes 3 and out and snaps ball over punter's head.  Safety for MTU.  9-0

Weird 1st half.  Only 173 yards of offense but 4 TD's.  Otterbein keeps gift wrapping great field position for Mount.  Ugly defensive drive to end the half.  Not thrilled with the sacks either.
