Kira & Jaxon's Dad

From the Fox Article posted below:

"The summer before his sophomore year of high school, his family moved to Northeast Ohio. He visited high schools, talked it over with his family and decided he would attend Massillon Washington."

Did he decide before they chose a house to live in or after?  ;)

I believe Kempts dad was offered a vp job at A.R.E truck caps in Massillon and they moved here from Oregon. A little Monday morning history.. haha..

his dad was a VP at Diebold and the family moved to Jackson Township.  Kyle's brother went to Jackson and Kyle went to Massillon...figure that one out....wink wink

anybody have any info on why Ruth wasn't playing on Saturday?

I guess at least his dad had a legit job and it wasn't a case where, I don't know, say the kid's dad was offered an Asst. Superintendent position by no means because his son was an All-State QB...   ;D

This weeks crazy Fulford stat of the week:

Fulford currently has 34 TD passes, which is the same number of incompletions that he has thrown (104-138)

Tip of the cap to Marietta for beating Heidelberg and Ohio Northern in consecutive weeks to clinch at least a .500 season with two games to play.  A win in either of the next two would give the Pioneers their first winning season since 2006 (which, I think, is also the last time that they beat either 'Berg and ONU in the same season).

I think Marietta has found itself a coach - and a recruiter.

Etta is much improved.  I like Fields at QB.  He made some mistakes against Mount, but otherwise he's been very smart with the ball and very efficient this year.  It'll be tough for them to replace Walker at RB after this year, but they're definitely trending in the right direction.

Anyone know the status of Jared Ruth. did not see him play last Saturday, receptions, punt returns? :-\

In case anyone was concerned about my drop off's in postings, I am back! Ha.

Been a rough year, I will admit, but at least entertaining, as far as Conference Play across the Board is concerned.

Yeah, but he throws into tight windows!  Just think how good Mount's passing game would be if he wasn't so aggressive.  ::)

Seriously,  that's a crazy stat.  Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I hope Campbell doesn't go to UF. Gators are a mess right now and I'm not sure he can fix them.

Not only that - I think UF would see Campbell as a Gamble (poet!). I think they would look at his resume and say 'well sure that's nice. Toledo's a nice little school. Iowa State, that's cute. This if Florida though.'

I don't think Matt has the pedigree they want. Laugh if you want to but there was a time when Tressel to OSU was seen as a stretch and many of their faitful were pissed they didn't get a real coach. Florida doesn't want Matt, they want Spurrier.

We all know this is a ton of speculation but if Tennessee comes calling, it would be tough to say no to.  Knowxville is an amazing town and has the facilities and resources (boosters) to be enticing.  UT was my second college while I attended ONU as my then girlfriend (now wife of 13 years) was at UT for her undergrad.  Beautiful place, amazing gameday experience and rich history.  They haven't been the same since Phil Fulmer but Campbell could be the guy that gets them back in the mix in the SEC.

FTR, Campbell has had an impact already with "his recruits" as the walk-on QB that ESPN Gameday fell in love with this past weekend was absolutely brought in by Campbell and his staff.

Yeah, he wasn't a "normal" walk on.  Was on Scholarship at Oregon State and then went to JuCo.

Campbell recruited him out of Massillon Jackson when he was at Toledo.  QB then contacted him after his JuCo stint and wanted to Join the ISU team.  No scholarships left so he told them he would walk on.
FYI, Kempt went to Massillon. I thought you would know better than mixing up those two schools! 😁

I swear I saw him in a Jackson Uniform in the ESPN special they showed on Saturday.  My Bad.

I don't care for Massillon or Jackson as a whole  personally, but I just didn't want you to get your head chewed off by anyone for saying that...haha

So, if it's "Massillon" it's automatically Massillon Washington? But all other "Massillon's" need to be qualified as Perry or Jackson? Serious question - never got it.

Oh yes. Perry and Jackson go strictly by that and are insulted if you add Massillon to their name. It's understood that when you say Massillon it means Washington HS (which people don't usually call it by Washington). Same with Canton GlenOak, nobody uses the Canton part. This is how I heard it around the county growing up and living here for a long time.

Exactly!

I am so danged old that I remember Canton McKinley, Lincoln, Lehman, Central Catholic, South, Timken, and probably another one or two.  GlenOak was Glenwood and Oakwood.  Isn't Massillon Jackson the Polar Bears?  How sad of a mascot is that.

RealityCheck:  Glad that it sounds like you are so doing well.  We will get some wings together again some day. ;D
