We all know this is a ton of speculation but if Tennessee comes calling, it would be tough to say no to.  Knowxville is an amazing town and has the facilities and resources (boosters) to be enticing.  UT was my second college while I attended ONU as my then girlfriend (now wife of 13 years) was at UT for her undergrad.  Beautiful place, amazing gameday experience and rich history.  They haven't been the same since Phil Fulmer but Campbell could be the guy that gets them back in the mix in the SEC.

FTR, Campbell has had an impact already with "his recruits" as the walk-on QB that ESPN Gameday fell in love with this past weekend was absolutely brought in by Campbell and his staff.

Yeah, he wasn't a "normal" walk on.  Was on Scholarship at Oregon State and then went to JuCo.

Campbell recruited him out of Massillon Jackson when he was at Toledo.  QB then contacted him after his JuCo stint and wanted to Join the ISU team.  No scholarships left so he told them he would walk on.
FYI, Kempt went to Massillon. I thought you would know better than mixing up those two schools! 😁

So, if it's "Massillon" it's automatically Massillon Washington? But all other "Massillon's" need to be qualified as Perry or Jackson? Serious question - never got it.

The rationale behind why Massillon Washington is referred to as Massillon is because it's the only Massillon area high school located in the city of Massillon whereas Jackson is in Jackson Township and Perry is in Perry Township. The addition of Massillon to these schools is just to help identify roughly where they are. You'll usually see the addition during playoffs the same way  Youngstown gets added in front of Boardman or Mooney so folks from other parts of the state know where they are from.

I swear I saw him in a Jackson Uniform in the ESPN special they showed on Saturday.  My Bad.

I don't care for Massillon or Jackson as a whole  personally, but I just didn't want you to get your head chewed off by anyone for saying that...haha

I'm in FL. They'd have to come a long way. Plus can't be worse than what I'm hearing on Friday nights. LOL

Anyone know the status of Jared Ruth. did not see him play last Saturday, receptions, punt returns? :-\

The WRMU guys said that Ruth was dinged up against Wilmington after scoring a TD and should be back next week vs Muskie

The use of Massillon with Jackson and Perry is a post office designation.  "Massillon" is their mailing address.

Berg as the top 2-loss team in the North has to sting.  That Marietta loss is holding them back from being the first or second 1 loss team in the North and a playoff birth.

Berg should be a lock to be regionally ranked with their remaining schedule.

That and $8 gets them a ticket to watch the first round game of their choice.

or a good season to build on.  I don't know why you have to be so mean and dismissive to the true student-athletes at Heidelberg

Don't all DIII programs have "true student-athletes?"  I am not sure what merlecanlas is insinuating about other DIII programs.

was not insinuating anything.  Just that if Heidelberg finished 8-2 and was one fluky loss from hosting a playoff game, I don't see the need to talk bad about them.  It should be a season to build upon for next year.
