Bad News: 49ers place Pierre Garcon on IR with a neck injury, ending his season

Good News: The 31-year-old signed a five-year, $47.5 million deal with the team back in March.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Geez, first he's not listed then you add insult to injury by insulting his intelligence, harsh!

Fat Fingers, posting from my phone.  My sincerest apologies!  I am still surprised that a True Freshman that led the team to the National Semifinals isn't in the mix more.  But I can't argue with the performance of Fulford.  Was hoping to see Mr. Davis maybe at WR or one of the Safety positions.  Hope he is doing well!

It's worth noting that Davis was the QB at season's end because Fulford was hurt.   A healthy Fulford likely doesn't lose the job to Davis, at least based on what we've seen this season thru 8 games.

Though Davis does have the advantage of not throwing into tight windows...... ::)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I understand.  Fulford beat him out last year and this.  Davis got his shot because Fulford and Poorman got hurt in 2016.   Nice problem to have all these Good/Young QBs.

It's also a matter of perspective. You could also say he led Mount to their worst finish in a decade.

I don't know if Davis would hit the side of the building with the tight windows that Fulford throws into.  I saw Davis play multiple times in HS and thought he would be a great Mount QB, and he still could be.  But he was forced to play waayyy before he was ready.  Unfortunately, having a 3rd string true freshman QB really cost Mount in both losses last year.  A healthy Fulford and Mount is going for a 3 peat, imo

I hope Dom stays at Mount (fantastic education), but if he is interested in playing time, he and Poorman should probably start looking around.  Mount is not likely to have three JR or SR qb's at 1-2-3 for the next two years.

I think it's definitely an unknown how he'd have done against UWO, but I can't see how they don't beat UMHB with Fulford or Poorman playing.  They had a chance to win at the end in a game they effectively got nothing from the passing game.  I think either of the other two makes at least a few plays that would have been the difference.  And I'm not knocking Davis here.  He played well prior to that and was a big part of how they even made it to Texas.  He just played like a freshman at an inopportune time against an excellent defense.

resqdog

Davis didn't play against anyone very good last year until JCU, when he had a terrible first half but a better second half.  You can blame him for the loss if you want but there were other mistakes by other players like fumbles and dropped passes that contributed.  Teams win and teams lose.  But in the playoffs he played pretty well until UMHB, when he played like a true freshman.

As for Fulford and Poorman, which high pressure game against a good opponent do you all think they have played well in?  Oh that's right, they haven't played in those games yet.  I hope that when the tougher games arrive Fulford keeps lighting it up, but I think it's a bit unfair to compare what he has done this year to what Davis did against five pretty decent opponents and four not so decent ones last year.  Just my opinion.

Ohsaa13

I echo the thoughts of the last two comments. Let us not forget early last year it was like a revolving door each series, quarter as to who was going to be QB.  No one was stepping up and Fuhlford did not stand out at all.  If DeAngelo goes down now Mount has short playoff run as Poorman is not the answer and Davis has not played at the game speed required for a playoff run IMO
