With the playoff chatter here's a stat of the day:  22.  That's the number of years since the last time Mount went back to back years failing to reach the Stagg Bowl.

I refer to him as a sniffer in our offensive sets.  We designate him as the "3" though and I have a "big 3" and "little 3" in our personnel packages.  The "big 3" is my sniffer back.  Great out of the backfield in play action as well.

Many great restaurants around University Heights, but corned beef?  Perhaps the Cheesecake Factory has a menu item that may feature it. Otherwise, I have not a clue. I was going to ask about a good mom and pop Italian place.

So the d3fb.com projected bracket has UMHB and UMU on the same side of the bracket, I understand why the committee would do that based on their criteria, but it feels like it's setting up a 2012 type scenario where the 2 best teams meet in the semis, and the Stagg bowl is a let down.

The problem as I see it is that there is a distinct Top 3 in OWU, MHB and Mount.  Then a noticeable drop off to the next 5 to 10 teams.   Using last year's results as the tie breaker between similar teams, MHB should be the #1, OWU the #2 and Mount the #3.

with that UWO defense, I'd much rather Mount get sent to the land of cheese rather than Texas in the semi's. 

But the playoffs can wait a week.  It's time to go the Barry Switzer route and "hang half a hundred" on JCU
