If you order tickets and can't get there to pick them up before game day, you can get them Saturday morning at the will call window beginning at 10:30.  Cash or check only.

That I get. However, if I reserved covered side - do they hand em out first come first serve - i.e. would I still be able to get them if I have to wait til Saturday OR will that push me to the open side?

Desertraider didn't you say you were a professor at one point?  You should be used to people not reading the whole question!  Yes, if you requested those tickets you should recieve them.  When they receive your request they package the tickets right then so you don't get bumped by people picking up tickets. I'm not thinking ticket sales are an issue this week with the weather forecast.

Sorry missed the Stagg Bowl part. My Bad. So, according to your post....UWW doesn't have to travel everywhere for playoffs. Wow. And they lost 3 games....in the same year??? What - no that is understandable since the WIAC is the toughest conference that god ever created and includes not only UWW but god him/her self on the schedule.

No - the post had some good stuff. No offense to Linfield but the "61 consecutive winning season" thing reminds me of BW and the ol' streak of mediocrity. I mean it is a great streak...but when do you crack through?

Linfield has actually cracked through more than most elite programs, seven national championship appearances, and four national titles in their time as an NAIA and NCAA school since The Streak began in 1956. It's been an amazing run, with five different head coaches, and only three seasons when the national record was in jeopardy. No offense taken, but wanted to provide some background. I'm not a Linfield grad, just someone with experience researching the program.

Replying to a 2016 post aside. Within NCAA DIII circles, do now defunct NAIA Division II titles or championship appearances really count towards an NCAA D3 legacy? The tourneys were filled 4 -8 teams. Many schools turned down bids due to apathy for the tournament or financial constraints. The home team got to host the championship.

The 04 NCAA D3 title was a significant accomplishment on its own.

Agree with your point on the 2004 National Title, but a college football legacy isn't just about what a school does in a specific classification. Linfield didn't join the NCAA until the mid 1990s, I don't know how we can discount NAIA competition. You're correct about the home team hosting the championship in that era, but a similar situation occurred in FBS when Miami hosted Orange Bowl games, or USC/UCLA hosted Rose Bowl games with national championship implications.

Good thoughts. College football, even at the D3 level, has evolved so much with postseason structure and membership, you make good points. A team's legacy is probably one way to look at things, as well as how a team has performed in each generation of change.

<G>  Sorry, Jammin' ... couldn't help myself.  I'm one of those [Pat-redacted-word] individuals who likes to play games with language and grammar.  Didn't mean for this to go so far, but obviously we are ALL ready to have the game played.

I've enjoyed this this week. Perhaps we can re-do it in a few weeks in anticipation of another UST-Mount Stagg.
Now that the kids are in bed, I'm watching a bit more of the UST-Linfield semifinal game from 2015. That one is a lot more fun to watch than the Stagg Bowl the following week...

I hate to admit that I dug into my cabinet and am currently reviewing the program from the 2012 Stagg Bowl.  You guys were in a hot streak and Glen took you into the playoffs for four straight years, always making the quarters (at least).

Did anyone from that team make the pros?

I was deep in the midst of small children at that time, with a 2 year old and a baby, so I didn't get to follow much of that season aside from watching the Stagg Bowl. I don't believe anybody did. I think Curtis James (Center) got some tryouts, and Charlie Dowdle was a Fr that year, but he's had some training camp invites (Jags and Bears) the last few years.

Ayo Idowu was in camp with the Seahawks and made a go of it. I am guessing the Seahawks GM (Schneider) being a Tommie Football alum helped though. Asst GM is a Johnnie too.

Dowdle was the closest thing to NFL the Tommies have had. He is a fantastic athlete and has the measurables. But he hasn't made it past tryouts or invites. Don't think he has a practice roster yet.

My greatest envy of Mount Union personnel over the years has been at WR. The Toms have had some nice jitterbugs, but have not had a dynamic WR, with size and speed that can be a go to on 3rd & longs and bail out poor throws. Cecil Shorts and Garcon are generational type talents, but beyond that MU always seems to have a guy or two that fit the above criteria. UST hasn't really had one in the Caruso era. Dowdle as a hybrid TE is maybe the closest.

Just another academically-inept "student ath-a-lete" at Mount Union.

As us inept Tommies like to say, Even a stopped clock is right once a day.

But seriously, that's an awesome accomplishment. Sounds like a great kid overcoming his cirumstances to do great things in life.

We MUC grads like to say  Even a stopped clock is right twice a day   ;)

My delicate sensibilities are offended that your clocks disrespect the troops in that way. Shame shame.

Serious question.  I know the military uses a 24-hour clock verbally, but do they actually have any 24-hour clocks?

Can't speak for them all....but: dayroom in Bldg 1 Ft Clayton, Panama; Sep Finance Bldg Ft. Bragg, NC; Hdqtrs, US Army Forces Command, Ft. McPherson, GA....just to name a few.

My somewhat dated experience supports resqdog. Once tho', I was alarmed when south-gate staff couldn't find my tickets - suggested I ask at northeast gate - hustled anxiously through growing crowd. Whew, my tickets!

What do you guys know about what's going on with Fulford???

are you kidding me?

Pat, please delete if I'm not allowed to discuss

Fulford has two unpaid traffic tickets in Broward County, FL and his extradition has been waived in Stark County.  I'm guessing the young man needs to pay those tickets off and stop speeding

Hello football fans.  For some reason I can't find the Pick 'em information.  Is there a Pick 'em this year and if so, how do I enter.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Just saw it on my twitter feed.  Sigh....hope it's not something more serious but saw a reference to an assault charge?

Changes everything if he is extradited to FL to face the charges.
