I typically agree with you on 99% of what you say, but I don't think anyone is arguing that Mount will be "alright." I think everyone wants to know what is going on the with the star QB, and if we are talking about major crimes here. And I don't blame any of them.

Sure Mount should win Saturday and beyond regardless of today's news, but it is still ok to wonder about today's news.

It occurs to me that Washington & Lee's coaches have spent a fair amount of time this week looking at tape of a quarterback who won't be playing. . . .

This was my point, some were saying they hoped it was parking tickets. It's clearly not but at the same time, innocent until proven guilty except in the court of public opinion, internet message boards or social media.

I sorta think this is the bottom line. Obviously, this is a message board and people have a right to free speech (well, decreasingly so, but you know what I mean). I understand people will post what they will post. But it's easy to forget this is a college kid who made a mistake. Here our guy gets brought up four years later (not by an OAC fan).  He's a really good guy and it's awesome when he is able to make it back to campus.  Maybe I get too protective of the DIII athlete, but my hopes are that Mr. Fulford works things out and people choose not to drag his name through the mud.

Exactly what I was thinking. Plus the po po waited long enough to ensure Mt secured home field advantage in the playoffs- AGAIN.

And speaking of young men doing stupid things, naval aviators - older than Mr. Fulford, I'm sure - performed some . . . interesting . . . maneuvers over the skies of Washington State yesterday.  (I'd post a link but this is a family newspaper.)

This is not going to look good on their resumes.
