Weird coincidence that the typo happened this week. Makes me wonder if Poorman / powell was actually being considered as the 1/2 for this week.

One has to wander what's going through Poorman's head right now.  I wouldn't be surprised if he has considered transferring especially after what transpired last weekend. Why would Mount put themselves through this PR nightmare when they have one of the best QB's in D3 sitting on their bench?

I think one takeaway from Saturday is that it is abundantly clear that they don't believe this to be true.

The 3rd (4th?) QB is a tipped hail mary away from beating the defending champs.  Mount will be ok.

? why does mount carry 4 kickers on playoff roster , 4 qbs.

Dr. Acula

To me the most eye popping thing in the game notes is Debeljak's record at Case.  102-42.  There are a lot of D3 coaches who wish they could sniff .700 and he's done it with academic restraints with which very few of his peers can relate.  Very impressive to say the least.

After getting the answer from here

The playoff limit is 58.  The roster on the game notes has 76.

Official roster is due 10 minutes before kickoff so there probably won't be 4 Ks and QBs dressed.

Unless he is injured (something else actually happened), Fulford will start - even without seeing the 2 deep. 2 reasons: 1) If he doesn't, it makes it look like Mount didn't to their due diligence before starting him last week AND 2) if he doesn't it makes it look like something else has been discovered and would make it look worse. Regardless-

Concerns for me on this game: Injuries.
Mount was banged up last week. Dear (ankle), Groves (ankle and was on crutches), Elijah Berry (groin), Vidal (I think shoulder - but at that point the guy next to me and I had been saying "ankle" so many times who knows?), JEM (wrist or forearm), and I think it was Crenshaw (ankle). I know all but JEM and Groves returned but Dear was favoring his left ankle at half and E Berry made several visits to the sideline trainer.

I respect your posts and you as a professor. Having said that, why give a public injury report?
I'm well aware the other team probably knows some of it but why add to their knowledge?
It may not make any difference anyway. Or, it may provide aid and comfort to the opponent. Excuse the "aid and comfort" reference, that's the old Air Force officer speaking.
Not trying to make a big deal out of this. On the other hand, maybe I am!
Thoughts?

Relatively new to D3 (3 yrs in) can someone tell me how Mount Union is so successful year after year.
It almost seems like the regular season is laughable for them.
Over 20 yrs with only 1 loss average is an amazing feat.
Being on the west coast you very rarely even hear about this..
How do they avoid the ups and downs that most schools go through?

Many, many reasons, I'm sure, some of which are probably not even easily expressible.  But I think far and away the single biggest reason is that Larry Kehres was one of the best football coaches EVER at ANY level, and chose to stay his whole career (and is still present as AD and an asst. coach - and head coach is his son, who had quite a mentor).  The overwhelming proportion of coaches even remotely as successful as LK would have moved 'up' for the big bucks; he refused.

That makes all the difference...

Perhaps desert is one step ahead and putting a false injury report out to lull the opponent into a false sense of security? I may have said too much already.

Don't worry. I won't be the one to say desertraider is trying to fool the opponent by issuing phony injury reports. Furthermore.......................oops.
