6 quarters into the playoffs and this Mount team isn't winning at UWO.

This statement has my attention because of what it says and who is saying it.

It's just too bad St Thomas' victory today wasn't by more points. Since it'll be their last win of the year, such a small margin will keep the HC up at night.

Nah, but probably the fact that we didn't play well and have a lot to clean up will keep him up game planning

Yeah, Mount certainly didn't look as dominant as they have against past 2nd round opponents. Sure the final margin was big but Case was still hanging around in the 3rd quarter.

The offensive play calling at times was iffy. At one point Mount was on the 4 yard line after a big JEM run and they called 3 passes and kicked a field goal.

On the bright side the defense looked great especially the secondary, defensive  backs were playing excellent fundamentals, they were looking for the ball breaking up passes and of course making interceptions

If we get past UMHB, we will destroy you. The felons are done.

Yes he was phenomenal, the Mount DBs did a good job staying with him but he had some great catches. I'm also surprised they put him back in the game after he got shaken up.

Just got back from the game.  Credit to Case for hanging in there as long as they did.  They tackled extremely well, and their QB was a gamer who showed why he was the offensive MVP for the conference.  Mount's DB's played very well (except for the one blown coverage), and I thought the defense as a whole played sound.

Offensively, we were just "ok" in my opinion.  Didn't like the play calls down in the red zone in the 3rd quarter, as we pretty much ran the ball to get there, and then passed three times in a row.  Mount was better than last week, but they really need to step it up if they want to make it to Salem.  They will get a strong test next week with Frostburg.

I was able to get the inside information regarding a certain court case in FL.  It will be adjudicated in December, and if folks knew the details there wouldn't have been this big hub bub on this site.

Looking forward to watching Mount play a another team we haven't seen before.

Fulford runs like Seaman. He sees the opportunity, he tucks and starts to run, then he thinks he can still pass, the he stutter steps, then he gets dragged down. He seems to have regressed a bit. Would prefer him to to just make his decision and go.

des, you had to raise memory of 2013? Please say it isn't so!

I agree with a couple of others with regards to Mount's play calling but will say this...sometimes it was ok, sometimes it was bad, other times it was really bad and yet other times very repetitive. I kept waiting for Case to pick six on those passes to the sidelines. Can't recall a game when I was that frustrated like today. Oh yeah, a 47 yard FG try? That was...

To be fair, the screen passes kept working. I like the "run it till they stop it" attitude but I kinda wish we would have faked if and thrown deep more than once

What's with the negativity? It's playoffs win move on, name of the game. WInning at the half with giving up one long play be happy!

First time post long time reader MUC grad

I've read this board for a few years and this is my take on HSCoach:

1)  VERY knowledgeable.
2)  VERY objective.
3)  Because of the above, something of a perfectionist when it comes to football.
4)  Because he's a Mount fan, something of a worrywart about Mount.

Sometimes his worries are well-founded.  (See Whitewater's dominance on the line.)

Sometimes his worries are wasted.  (See a season-long concern about Taurice Scott, as HSCoach so eloquently expressed it, "p*****g down his leg" when the big games arrived.  Scott didn't.)

I'm concerned that HSCoach says Mount will NOT win at Oshkosh.  But I remember last year's game vs. UMHB, when The Coach was pessimistic like most of the rest of us and Mount JUST MISSED.

So trust, but verify.

Mount Union playoff games in Alliance bring back a lot of the former players.  I didn't make it into the stands but I saw Dratt, Dieusel, Burke, Meacham

Good win for Mount Union.
