Well, there weren't any real surprises on which team won their second round game, but there was quite a range of scores among the pickem players.  gobash83, New Tradition, rscl70, seadog2, and theaprof all did well with ten points, but firstdown was out of his mind with 14.

firstdown and New Tradition lead by two after two rounds of the 2017 OAC Playoff Pick-Em.

Spreads for Round #3 will come out on Monday night.  Each game will be worth three points.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Mount Union playoff games in Alliance bring back a lot of the former players.  I didn't make it into the stands but I saw Dratt, Dieusel, Burke, Meacham

Good win for Mount Union.

Burke was in Alliance??  :P

Technically the Case playoff game brought him to Alliance haha

I rode with Kevin in the elevator before the game.

One question...did Case even have one penalty today?  I know they didn't in the first half, and I can't remember them having any for most of the game.  Seemed a bit odd/one-sided.

no penalties. looked like a clean game, though. no chirping that i could see. lots of guys helping up the opponent, tapping them on the shoulder. good to see.

Absolutely a clean, hard-hitting game with mutual respect on each side.  There were some serious wacks out there!

Oh I believed you saw him! I was just giving you a hard time because the Burke coaching for case has been a popular story before this game.

Thought Case Western Reserve gave a great effort today.  I was impressed with their offense and can see how they were successful against teams with less speed.  Phan was a monster and I would love to see him in Purple.  Great receiver.  QB was a bit wild in the first half, but was a competitor.  Was a terrible shame that Friss put a move on Habeeb and cost him possibly a healthy knee.  Hope it is ok.
It is for sure that Mount would travel to Oshkosh if they both win next week?  Was Oshkosh voted a higher seed than Mount in the selections?

Was CWRU RB Burke 100%.  He was not too effective, and on film he looked faster and stronger.

Will Evans-Morris get another start after losing another fumble?  As the games get more competitive and the opponents stronger, a fumble could be very costly and he has shown that he can cough it up at anytime.  Today, he appeared to trip over the yard stripe and lose the ball going down.

Technically the committee doesn't officially reveal seeds, but it would appear they UWO has the better resume for being the higher ranked seed

For the second week in a row the playoff game in Alliance was fast paced and over fairly quick.  As we were leaving the game today the OSU game that started the same time was only in the 3rd quarter.

I miss okay with the offensive play calling and the effort from the Purple Raiders today.
I just want to see one thing for the remainder of the season. The rest of our opponents try to run the ball very often and we weren't getting pressure without helping the 3 man rush....please bring use a 4 man rush consistently and make it Roesch! The kid is always making plays or putting pressure on the QB.
Frostburg St will definitely present a challenge next week and I'm looking forward to it!

Not even close.  I noticed he limped off the field a few times.  It's a shame because it changes the complexion of the offense a lot when he isn't full strength.

Look at the game replay - seriously. Humor me and watch it. Before JEM fumbles (literally walking into position) he is grabbing his left wrist. He did this last week before he fumbled the first time and again the second and then came out grabbing the same wrist and trying to tell the trainer he was fine. JEM is injured. As soon as I saw him grab his wrist today I said to my daughter "his wrist is hurt. he did tha last week and fumbled"...and he then proceeded to fumble. Not saying anything is broken but he is having problems holding onto the ball.

To all mount fans-

As we get ready for the playoffs, as usual, we have a few guys dinged up. That is, they are in a state of ding!
Often on this board, time is spent discussing these injuries in some detail. I'm fairly certain the opponent finds out on their own. However; let's not give them any information. Why state " Joe Player has a high ankle sprain and will likely not play or is doubtful at best"? I see this type of comment very often.
I'll probably get some flack for the above comments. But, as an old Mount alumnus, I want my team to have every advantage possible. Would love to see #13 in Alliance.
So, good luck Raiders.
And thank you for listening. Now, back to your regularly scheduled discussion!
