Look at the game replay - seriously. Humor me and watch it. Before JEM fumbles (literally walking into position) he is grabbing his left wrist. He did this last week before he fumbled the first time and again the second and then came out grabbing the same wrist and trying to tell the trainer he was fine. JEM is injured. As soon as I saw him grab his wrist today I said to my daughter "his wrist is hurt. he did tha last week and fumbled"...and he then proceeded to fumble. Not saying anything is broken but he is having problems holding onto the ball.

1.  He sure looked to be down prior to Saturday's fumble.  2.  He was carrying the ball in his right hand before he "fumbled".  If his left wrist is hurt so bad that it makes his right hand not work, then he should get that looked at.

I don't know which hand is his dominant. Look at the replay. He hurt that wrist bad enough the week before to come out. He was grabbing it again before he fumbled. Maybe he is more used to carrying in that hand. IDK. All I know is he was jumping up and down grabbing it on sideline against WL after fumbling twice and he was grabbing it again before he fumbled against Case.

I must admit it was a bit odd to see Kevin Burke before the Case game yesterday wearing a shirt with CWRU on it. I overheard Kevin mention that he was really enjoying the coaching job and it was a very short drive for him.

See Kevin back at Mount Union Satdium was great even though he wasn't dresses as a Purple Raider.  As a QB for the Purple Radiers Kevin was 35-0 in Mount Union Stadium and now as a visiting coach he is 0-1 there.

I would love to have KB working with Fulford for a couple years. I know Scott really benefitted from it. Fulford could definitely use KBs input.

On the replay - I thought it was Semis and Finals. I would love to see the Ruth replay (they didn't show it). I thought it was a catch.

The Raiders won.

A few thoughts on the game:

- While the game was hard hitting and clean, the officials were horrible, no penalties on CWRU all day, even when they
were holding on several occasions, and off side when Mount was driving for a score.

- The CWRU  2nd touchdown was not a touchdown. We all saw it live and the replay. The receiver had no feet in the back
   of the End Zone.

- Mount's play calling was very questionable in the red zone, I was shaking my head wondering why

- CWRU was a solid team and played tough despite the turnovers

On another note, if the Raiders win this Saturday and UW- Oshkosh does, why would the NCAA give them the home game.
To me playing one less game does not give them the home field despite schedule comparisons, Just my opinion!

Good observation. KB played with a lot of intellect and would make a great QB mentor for Fulford. From what I heard Kevin is enjoying working on the mental part of the game with the Case players.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I was surprised he didn't stay at Mount as O Coordinator but Kappas moved from D. Not second guessing but I think the team had more "punch" with VK as HC and not serving as a Coordinator as well.

It's only been semis and finals in the past, adding quarters would certainly be a new addition

Wondering if they would have needed him there in the spring and summer to work on this years offense if he would have been offensive coordinator. He was in the Austrian football league at that time this year.

Did not realize that the carry-over from the prior season was more important than this season. Has that always been the practice or could the NCAA award home field to the team with most wins? :-\

I hope Kevin Burke has as good a career as a coach as he had as a player. However, we don't really need him to coach the quarterbacks at Mount. After all, LK is the quarterbacks coach right now  and he's got a pretty good track record.
We have now entered the stage of the proceedings where the teams we play could beat us. Does anybody have a sense for how good the Frostburger really is?

"Most wins" is not part of the selection or seeding criteria. The NCAA committee has no interest in punishing a team simply because nobody will play them.

The "previous season" tiebreaker for separating unbeaten teams has been part of the seeding criteria since 2011.

Strength of schedule will be significant there:

6 UW-Oshkosh   8-0   1.000   .5857 (13)   .5872   0.586
73 Mount Union   10-0   1.000   .5169 (86)   .5256   0.520

Burke plays quarterback professionally for the Dacia Vikings in Vienna, Austria, and  their season ends in August and I think it might start in Feburary. I don't suspect the Dacia Vikings pay that well, but the job lets KB keep is dream of playing professionally going.  From what I read KB plans to go back to Austria next year unless he finds a job elsewhere, such as arena football.  With the Vikings season ending in August Kevin was back in the states looking for work when he landed the CWRU job which I heard Vince helped with.

Other than being very close to home the CWRU job was attractive to Kevin because coach Debeljak was building an up and coming program and he was looking for help to take the program to the next level.  Kevin knows what it takes to play DIII football at the highest level.
