The DIII nation is watching how Mount Union handles this.  Personally, and I know I am old school, he should never have started the last two weeks.  Life before football.  Most people don't grow up unless there are consequences for their actions ... and inactions, as the case may be.

I agree 100%. I think more Mount fans agree with this than will admit it as well.

BTW - from a pure football stance. IF Fulford was benched against WL and Poorman had played. Then Poorman would have had a playoff start and recent meaningful snaps. Plus (No Offense to WL) I think Mount still beats WL with Poorman (they could have done the right thing AND prepared the back-up at same time). Fast forward - IF Fulford is gone (and I think he will be) then Poorman gets the start and has not taken a meaningful snap since...what October of last year?

Not good folks.

I know some have said his situation isn't the terrible, but it just doesn't look good if you don't take care of things. I hope the coaches are telling him loud and clear to take care of off field business before he can play.

Smacks Forehead!

Who the heck is advising this kid?

Seriously!!! It's not like he doesn't have a lawyer... this is unreal.

True. His Atty is listed as Max Houpt according to write-up.

enter "All" in both fields, continue, enter Fulford.

He has not - as of yet - had a warrant issued in the system on the new FTA and he may not. It depends on the court. If a FTA is issued on the new one he will be arrested. Then it gets interesting because since he would have (2) FTA the court could deny bond and turn him over to FL after his hearing in Stark.

According to the online documents I have read... a warrant has been issued and bond has been denied.

And I was under the impression his Florida court date is Dec. 20 previously determined.

Sir Battlescars

So Frostburg State has won two consecutive road games in this playoff season. Does anyone know if this has ever been done before or is this the first time? I'm impressed by this and don't recall anyone ever doing this in the past.

I'm also somewhat surprised that the NCAA doesn't have a rule in place that awards a team a home game if their first two playoff games were on the road and they win and advance to the third round. I know this is a rule the NCAA put into place when they took over the NIT basketball tournament several years back. Maybe this has been a non issue in D3 football until now.

Yes, this court date of the 27th was for the traffic violation,

Mount won road games through Quarters last year and lost on the road to UMHB in semis. The higher seed is the higher seed.

I'm not sure if this is serious, but Mount Union won 3 consecutive road games just last year.

Did you read the D3football.com story?

Yes I did. I was trying to confirm with another source. The link you just hit has the additional:
BENCH WARRANT ISSUED FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR ARRAIGNMENT. BOND (HOLD FOR COURT). 11-27-2017 (STARK COUNTY SHERIFF)

That was not entered when I checked and posted the original link. So he, based on this, should be taken into custody (tonight?) and held at that point.

From what I have learned, but waiting for confirmation, the bench warrant doesn't necessarily lead to an immediate arrest. One theory is that he has to be detained for something else and it that it isn't a "search and arrest" type of thing. That said, there is also some who feel it is something the police (deputies in this case) can go and immediately arrest. I am awaiting confirmation.

Not sure when you looked for the details, but that has been there since I first looked at it quite awhile ago. That said, I do know it may depend on the device one uses and the link they choose. Kind of weird, but even our staff had some conflicts for a bit. LOL

Correct on the arrest. However, with one FTA and warrant issued, a second FTA normally would equal.."book em' Danno". Got a feeling D'Angelo isn't getting a full nights sleep tonight.

D O.C.

Sir B....it is my pleasure to inform you that the first year the Northwest Conference joined Division III the Pacific Lutheran team played winning games the last 5 games of their season on the road, the last one being the Stagg, 1999.

Thank-you PC for being preoccupied because I know you remember that.

Dr. Acula

This is not good.  The thing that baffles me is in the original release Jakmides and Haupt were listed as contacts.  There is not a better attorney in Stark County than Jakmides.  He's fantastic.  That's why this is so confusing.  Maybe I just don't understand the legalese.  But my position as an alum is even more in the "Fulford can't dress" camp at this point.  I don't care if they lose to Frostburg as a result.  Unless I'm totally missing the point I am far more concerned with the school's reputation.  This is D3 football.

pradierguy

It's Poorman Time. In related news, it's very possible Frostburg State enters the national picture in a big way late Saturday afternoon.
