Back when all this started, didn't we hear that Fulford was still a student and his status on the football team remained unchanged? If that's correct, doesn't that constitute an announcement?
I may have it wrong. I'm old. I get mixed up and I forget things.
Response, please.

I don't recall, but that's pretty much implied when he's gashing Case Western for 5 touchdowns in a Mt. Union uniform.

However, new week, new warrant.

I believe you have previously indicated not caring about the speeding ticket and whatever the mix-up with the bench warrant was. If there was no suspension after week 1, should we really expect that to change now or expect further comment from Mount?

I'm not saying I like it or agree with it, and the backlash they get for the lack of either:
a) clarification on the thought process or b) discipline for Fulford
may well be deserved imo. With the bench warrant situation resolved at this point, I'm not sure we should expect further comment and I imagine Fulford will be starting on Saturday barring a major change of heart from the Kehres/Mount family.

I don't care about the car thing. I am interested to see if LK or VK have changed their mind due to the backlash, and the fact that a new legal problem popped up, you know, the old "HE'S A DISTRACTION" thing the media overhypes.

I mean, one could give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they did not know about the pending felony because it was venued in juvenile court 1,000 miles away, and have been mulling over what to do, but in the meantime, decided to start Fulford. Now, conceivably, all of the cards are out on the table, and the fans and media are now just waiting for noon on Saturday to see if he's in uniform or in street clothes.

Either way, ASTERISK!

Remember the days when a guy would get suspended for being late to a team meeting?

It's possible that the team meeting time wasn't included in the schedule that was provided.

Good point. So how's Linfield looking for next season? Any felony warrants on the horizon? Yep, didn't think so.

As a non Mt guy, but sort of Mt fan in the big picture, I  place my vote for Dom Davis to start should things go that way.
The kid has 4 playoff games under his belt, he can run like you guys like your QB to run (I think), he led an offense that put up 70 on Alfred (which I rightly or wrongly assume to be similar to Frostburg) and has big game/close game experience as his last five starts were all very tight (except a bit of Alfred).

Dom at QB = Mt advancement. Unless he proves me wrong.

not on the team anymore my man

Ummm... seems more likely that he's just not on the playoff roster. Doesn't mean he's off the team.

His twitter still has a pic of him in a mount uniform and that "character- integrity-respect" line is a mount union football motto or core values or something if I'm not mistaken. So I'd say evidence points to Davis still being on the team.

Or maybe he was late to the meeting because he had to catch a ride instead of driving on his suspended license. He should be commended for being late.

Reports are that he has left the team.

Believe me, Davis is off the team. He quit. End of story.

Oh okay, the first I'd heard of this was from Merle's post, thanks!

Just curious where did you guys hear about this? Am I missing the UMU roster update newsletter or something lol.

Is it only me that's interested in why Davis is no longer on the team?
MUC, if I shouldn't ask why just let me know, I'm not looking for dirt, just discussion about a kid I thought served the program well. This could be a great chapter in his Mt story if he was called on to lead the team.

I think we'll make some noise. QB is solid.  Applied physics major and 4.0 student.  He's gonna be a pretty good D3 QB too.
