Remember the days when a guy would get suspended for being late to a team meeting?

It's possible that the team meeting time wasn't included in the schedule that was provided.

+k

Or maybe he was late to the meeting because he had to catch a ride instead of driving on his suspended license. He should be commended for being late.

Oh my goodness. Tommies chumming it up with Wildcats on an OAC board. I think pigs will be flying.

Is it only me that's interested in why Davis is no longer on the team?

No.

Is it only me [and Sidekick] that remembers Namdar?

MUC, if I shouldn't ask why just let me know, I'm not looking for dirt, just discussion about a kid I thought served the program well. This could be a great chapter in his Mt story if he was called on to lead the team.

I would imagine that the circus of events that have taken place over the last 2 weeks with the starting QB who is still the starting QB might have something to do with it. I won't be surprised if more follow... like Luke Poorman.

The way VK has handled this series of events has cost him a lot of respect not only from fans, supporters and alumni, but now his own players.

So sad  :'(

I imagine the conversation between Dom and Mr. & Mrs. Davis went a little something like this:
Dom: I don't think I am going to get a shot
Rents: Keep your chin up. Seasons not over yet.
Dom: Starter spent the night in jail, has (had) 2 active warrants for his arrest - and I still am listed as 4th string.
Rents: Oh...have you considered BW?

BTW: I think Poorman moves on as well. With Powell being a Sr....that would leave only Fulford - if he doesn't get locked up/kicked out (god I hate even having to say that). Mount could go from 4 QBs that could start about anywhere in D3 to 1 - as long as his ankle monitor fits under his sock during games and he lives within 100 ft of the stadium (I know uncalled for but - whatever).

Davis has been 4th team QB all year.

We know. Which is why I pointed out that even when the starter gets arrested, has warrants, spends a night in jail - and Dom doesn't move up (even to #3 for a week) - well he might take that to mean he isn't ever moving up so maybe its time to move on.

Stinks about Davis. Pretty sure he's a Ballard disciple too. But he was never going to be "the man" here. My guess is he was told he wouldn't be on playoff roster and that was the end of that.

The phrase "he'll never start another game for Mount" that went through my head at the end of the UMHB game last year came true way sooner than expected.

I certainly give the benefit of the doubt to the Kehres family in handling the QB situation. I guess I haven't followed the Davis story closely enough, which is why it strikes me so hard, for him and the program. Can't be many examples of a freshman starting a season at QB and then dropping to #4 the next year, especially one that went four rounds deep.

But remember he was really #3 last year.  Only played because Fulford and Poorman got hurt.

If you're going feel bad for someone not playing it should be Poorman.  He was rotating with Fulford thru the first games until he got hurt.  Then the fulltime spot went to Fulford.  Poorman was obviously closer to being the real starter last year than Davis was.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

AND LK got on a PLANE to visit Poorman in FL in HS.  Somehow, that factors into QB Depth Chart...

Seems like a lot of speculation at this point. For all we know the team could be fully supportive of  Fulford and the coaching staff's decision. Davis was 4th string all year and might have quit even if this whole controversy never happened.
