Two things:

1.  Was sitting with a trustee today, he was not aware that Fulford was not going to play.

2. Fulford was dressed and on the sideline for the whole game.  Showed a lot of class congratulating Poorman on his performance.

Those things being said, I have been of the opinion that Fulford should have been sitting since the initial speeding/Florida incident.  I guess the "drop off" with Poorman was not an issue evidenced by today's game.

I hope UWO comes to Alliance because I want to see the game live.

I just heard from my former roommates former girlfriends brother-in-laws cousin that after losing to UMHB, Caruso had his Tommies stop by and pound a 10-11 year old flag football team 186-0 and then beat up some Shriners at the Airport while they were talking to some make a Wish Foundation kids. He was quoted as saying "We want to mentor those kids too and they should be ready to defend their territory. That's how you show honor." ;D ;D

Mt-Congrats on the game and on making another semi-final.

This is the match-up we've been waiting for, regardless of who hosts.

For the record, I don't consider home field a factor in terms of each team's chance to win. To me, home field is the reward to the fans, the university and the community.

My sources aren't always right on. That's why I try not to comment until an event is over. Thanks for the info. I also agree with how Fulford should have been handled.

Your last post is priceless. You described St Thomas to the proverbial t. (I wish I knew what that meant).
On to Wisconsin!

Agreed, but nobody really wants to play in the teens-20's in Wisconsin.  I'm sure we can all just agree to have the game in sunny, balmy NE Ohio

Saw a pretty interesting sign today that a Frostburg fan was holding. It said "Our QB makes his court dates!"

I was utterly confused by this since implying your own qb also has legal issues but is better at managing them is not the most effective diss. Did anyone else happen to see that sign?

I swear I saw a Mount fan holding a sign that said "Our backup QB > Your QB"

By far the most credible rumor I've read on this board in weeks.

Desertraider you should be in the writers guild. Great post! My post about Fulfords slow burn was conjecture, but what else could he be feeling? The Fulford saga is overblown. Im not saying he has no issues, but Fla. suspending his license and he not knowing it is not surprising to me. My son was a Fla resident but on deployment and he couldnt get his CDL physical by renewal time so they suspended his license without notifying him. They could have reduced his license to a regular drivers license but thats not how they roll. He tried to have his flight surgeon examine him and forward it to the Fla DMV but they wouldnt accept that. Fla wouldnt budge, he had clear it up when he rotated back to his base in Idaho.  Charges are routinely over blown to give prosecuters leverage to plea bargain. When the dust settles there probably wont be any lasting damages to Mr Fulford. Hes a real distraction and public relations problem to the team and University.

As a former Trustee (affiliation obvious) Trustee involvement in a decision like this would be huge. If true, that says a lot.

Especially two quarterbacks from Florida.

Again, VK did say this was a "coach's decision" according to the canton rep.
