Ya know a few of the WIAC posters seemed ticked at UWO being called "upstarts" during the broadcast. I don't think it was meant as anything more than Mount was playing in their 23rd consecutive Semifinal and UWO was playing in their 2nd. Sorry but in comparison - upstart fits.

Well, in his defense most people tuning in thought Mount Union was in trouble at this point.  All you have to do is look back at all the "I didn't watch the 2nd half" stuff on this board to know how bad it looked at that point. 

I'm sorry to say I can't make Salem this year.  But I'll be in Houston next year.  This will be a big, big crowd.  UMHB packed in the fans last year (and were very friendly) and it sounds like all the legendary posters from Mount will be in attendance.  Maybe we can get a post from 4u this week?

Should be a great game.  Mount Union's poise was very impressive; but they looked really out of sorts in the first 35 minutes of the game.

Actually, one of the side line reporters mics picked up VK talking to his Captains when it was 35-10. He clearly says "Ok. This is exactly how we scripted this one. Now we start. Let's finish the plan". So there's that. He also told Fulford "you were off on the pick - we scripted that to be to the other side. Stick to the plan."

Okay so I've seen multiple posts that UMHB is going to pack Salem stadium, yet last year was the lowest attended stagg bowl since 2009s blizzard altered game. Did Oshkosh just bring nobody last year or are UMHB fans overestimating how well they travel?

I think they "packed em' into the RV" and then went to the game. You are right though - attendance was under 4,000.

One of UMU posters called Saturday's game the greatest comeback in program history. I thought it might be. It was certainly impressive.
I intuited UMU fans had made reservations near the Bowl and asked about it. draider answered he had purchased condo or townhome and didn't worry about reservations. No one else answered my question. Someone posted last night they had made reservations before the game Saturday. (playing the odds, not arrogant).
Now... How many of you plan on being buried in your Mount gear? Come on now...

Still not bad, compared to the crudy attendance at most of the playoff games everywhere this year.

I want to give a shout out to Al Groh. Not once did I hear "these kids are not on scholarship" and all of that. He called it like a real college game - not a little league game. In the post game interview with Berry he actually asked him about the pic and if he changed coverage - ya know like you would asked a real college player. Nice job Al. Thank you.

Another question before we start to ponder who will win Friday. Does anybody know where Mount's 25 point comeback ranks in playoff history? I'm not sure where to even start. I know we have a few very knowledgable people who will either know or can find out. Just curious. Something to talk about that shouldn't start any arguments.
