Let's talk about the fumble/non-fumble!   :o ::) ;D

that was an athletic play by the qb to hold onto the ball until just before the ref blew the whistle.

D O.C.

Quoteany other single plays that can be dissected for a handful of days?

Sure, let's go back over that roughing the kicker call.

ADL70

The call was running into the kicker.

Could, probably should, have been called roughing since his kicking leg was still extended.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Thirteen national championships is an amazing accomplishment by the Mount Union football program. Do you guys even enjoy them anymore? Some of you seem to, for like a day or two. Then it seems like you get sucked into micro-bs.  I know this is just a message board and to participate, you have to discuss something. I just hope you enjoy it a little more than it seems like you do.  I know Merle is enjoying the heck out of it. I hope the rest of you are too!

By the way, from everything I know about even the very best of college kids, you guys are way better off that Fulford didn't make the All-America team. And so is he.  Really, he will survive and you will all be the better off for it.

I still disagree with the running into the kicker call.  UMHB guy was sliding out of the way when the UMU punter swung his leg around and kicked the rusher in the chest.  Probably can't see that at full speed, live, but on replay it seems clear to me.

I'm enjoying this championship more than usual because it was a fitting end to our time in Salem, as well as tying Mount Union with North Dakota State for most college football national championships. (Im not counting any of the "claimed" titles in d1 when voters chose a national champion for the year, only earned ones ) or put more simply most NCAA football championships.

I'm actually surprised d3fb hasn't mentioned this milestone

Micro bs? Is that a UWW course?
If so, I should teach it.

Come on Bleed. Talking about micro bs is exactly what keeps the season and championship game alive. We can't just talk about "this great play and that great play", the board would die of boredom.

And in case you're referring to my stance on the TD catch, I'd hardly call the most important and impactful play of the game as micro bs.
Definitely running into the kicker.
Definitely a block in the back on first play or so of third quarter that sprung MHB outside.
Most likely a fumble.

Absolutely not a ball that could have been intercepted.

Hey Pat Coleman...I'm not Fulford's lawyer. The Court Docket reflect that Max Haupt is his lawyer. That was a really stupid comment.
Cheap shot, Pat. That the best you can do? Take a cheap shot?

Jeff -- the statement UMU issued included your name and Max's name as contacts. If that wasn't true, you should have asked them to strike your name.

Fumble was a fumble...don't care what the officials called.  If you watched it, saw it, watched the replays, end of story.

Hey Bleed...we are nitpicking because we aren't playing UWW anymore (at least for this year), so that's what we have to do.   ;)

Pat...you really don't want to piss off the preimenent defense attorney in Stark County.  The man has proven himself over time to defend the "little people", has been a stanch supporter of UMU, and I would be very happy to have myself, family, relatives, and friends represented by a man with the intergrity that he has.

He knows more about the kid than anyone posting on this board knows, which is why he has been a bit salty about how that KID Fulford has been roasted.  Oh by the way Pat, he hasn't been paid a dime by Fulford, but really knows A LOT more about the man than you will ever know.

Was he grinding a bit HELL YAH!  He's a Mount alumn, and wears it on his sleeve.  Isn't that a great thing?

And if it was done that way it should have been roughing.  As the rusher you have to avoid the punter, not the other way around.

Just looking at Mounts freshman roster from this year and not one Florida kid. Wonder why the change in recruiting from the last several years.

And now a light bulb goes off over my head regarding Pat Coleman's post of a week or so ago.
